I was looking through the IPC module in “easy” mode and there is a line called Digital Tachometer Gauge. I enabled it, but no change on the tach. Are there other lines that need to be changed somewhere to get the RPM to display in the center of the tach?
Also, there is a line called something like Ceramic Brake Wear Indicator. Anyone know what that is?

Check the forscan spreadsheet - it’s in a sticky thread at the top of this forum., Just because Forescan shows something in easy mode, doesn’t mean its supported, proceed with caution.

Some changes require the module to be rebooted/reset, some parameters are only read when the module boots.

Yeah that is tricky part about ForScan, it shows you everything Sync4 has, not just what your specific vehicle/software has or can do. Like the ceramic brake wear indicator, is likely from a Mustang GT500 or something, and the digital tach you are seeing could also be mustang specific, or maybe even Explorer or SuperDuty.

I've tried several things I've found in there and nothing happened, nothing changed, so I just reset back to what it was sing a sad song.

Personally having a 2021, I'd rather have the new 2024 tach over my digital tach...but that won't even happen cause they went and changed the modules and such so now even 2021-2023 aren't the "same" as 2024+

I’ve looked a little bit at the spreadsheet before, but just stick to the Common section to see what I could easily do since this is the first time I’m using FORScan. I found the lines I think I need to change and I understand how it works now. I hope. Thank you for making me look closer at it!
How do I reset/reboot the module?

Ok, that makes sense. Maybe I won’t be able to have that tach, but that’s fine. I just saw it in there and thought I’d try it. Thanks.

I have a 24 and I do not particularly like the tach because it is pretty much unreadable in Normal mode.

Some brightness/color changes may help because blue on blue is pretty much a non-starter.

Is that a 8 inch screen up there in post #4?
I have a 2023 Ranger with a 8-inch dash screen. The display is somewhat basic. It would be truly fantastic to get it to work like that, but I don’t think it’s possible.

I think thats the 12 inch screen? I always thought the 8 inch screen was the smaller one with the analog gauges on either side? But I'm probably mistaken.

Though post #4 is showing 2 different model years display, so if you have a screen that size there, you should by default have one of those.
