2024 Digital Dash Distance Indicator Graphic

So odd question, but going to try and ask it anyways. Right now I have the distance indicator turned on. So on the driver assistance screen, it shows the truck with a blue square emanating from the front of it. When you approach a vehicle in front of you, another truck graphic shows up.

Last night I noticed that when the additional truck graphic appears, it looks as if there is a shadow to the right of it, and below it, as if its "casting a shadow". It acted this way again this morning. Is this normal? I don't recall ever seeing the shadow before last night, and typically if my brain says hey this is new, it really is new.

So wondering, if anyone else uses this feature if they have this same shadow appearing on the right hand side of the graphic of the vehicle your approaching?

Is this what you are referring to? It shows a shadow on "your" truck but not the leading vehicle in that pic but some of the graphics in the owner's manual are not up to date so it could just be a visual update to look pretty.

Sorry no. The shadow I am referring to is on the leading truck but only on the right hand side of that truck. Its very odd looking, like a software bug or something. Its not "centered". Probably why I noticed it. I would expect (and I think it was before) it to be uniform and it isn't. But no problem with any other graphic so far.

I searched the internet for an actual picture of of the distance indicator in action to compare, but could not find one.

This is a good question but seeming how I’ve seen it while going any direction, and originally noticed it at night, I don’t think the sun plays any part in it.

Mainly just looking for confirmation that everyone else’s acts this way as well, at least in the 2024 models.

Just odd that I noticed it like 2 months after I got the truck. My brain doesn’t work like that.
