1/26 the Lariat I special ordered was delivered after a several month wait. No regrets, this Lariat is exceeding my expectations after reading everything I could about Powerboost F-150's.
Technology is now a major component of these trucks. After I did all the homework activating Fordpass, Connected Services and the hot spot (not Alexa, last thing I need is Amazon knowing my whereabouts).. i digress. Once config was completed I dedicated several hours to testing. Fordpass functions, Hotspot data transfer rates, key fob operations, android phone pairing and finally Android Auto. I learned Fordpass functions by standing right next to the truck with Fordpass observing the actions of the Fordpass commands! Turned the lights on and off. Turned on the generator and monitored the loads over my android phone. Very cool.
After several days observing Fordpass status updates and unlocking with my phone, I attempted a remote start from Fordpass this am and it failed. Everything was failing. Unlocking, lighting and starting.
Later at the office I referenced online support to review the setup procedures and confirm I didn't screw up a setting somewhere.. Found a T shooting reference in support and walked through troubleshooting steps without success.
Next, called the Fordpass support number. After identifying myself and providing a call back number I explained the Fordpass App was no longer able to perform any function, yet reported all systems OK.
After a few minutes of conversation I learned that Ford is aware of this problem, that a recent update 'disabled' remote control features via Fordpass for a number of 2023 models.
