So, with this cold weather lately, i am noticing that the front windshield will defrost mostly on the passenger side and the outer left side for about 10 inches from the pillar stays frozen for a long time while the passenger side is dry and clear. There is warm air coming up on the driver side, but it takes a good five to ten min of driving before the driver side is clear. Is this an actuator perhaps that is partially open or stuck or faulty? This does happen as well when the windshield is fogged at warmer temps. Passenger side always clears very fast while the driver side doesn't.

Thanks

Mine is similar. Luckily it's generally very dry here in Colorado, but this truck definitely has some areas on the windshield that will barely heat up when it's extremely cold outside.

This has been an issue on both my current truck and the 2022 XLT 302a I had. The XLT obviously didn't have HUD, but my current 24 KR does. The HUD does seem to make it worse, but the XLT wasn't much better. I think it has to do with the design of the defroster ducts, the airflow on the passenger side seems way more robust than the driver's side. The airflow from the far left instrument panel vent (A/C vent) is also quite a bit weaker than the rest of the vents.

The 2017 Lariat and 2019 XLT trucks I had previously, the airflow out of the defroster ducts seemed pretty equal, with the windshields defrosting pretty much equally across.

Same issue on a 24 XLT.

Here's one TSB that I think may address your issue:
