Hey all,

I just ordered the Bilstein 5100 shock/strut kit from Stage 3. I want to figure out the best setting on the strut to get my truck as close to level as possible. Currently it’s the 2023 F150 SuperCrew 4WD with short bed 5.0. I also have already installed the Maxtrac 1” drop shackles in the rear. The reason I ask is it seems to vary on results of gain height with this kit from my research. I also currently sit with exactly 2” on rake. I will attach a photo for reference, but does anyone have a similar setup that could show the best setting on the Strut for level? Thank you in advance.

If I can ask, how did you go about measuring that? Top of the wheel well to ground front and rear? thx

I have measured it from the ground and from the top of the tire and it works out two approximately 2” both times.

I used the middle position on my 2016 and it raised the front a little more than I expected. Measures 38.5 front, 39 rear to wheel wells, with no changes to the rear.

Just FYI, I believe you'll find that a line connecting the F&R wheel-arch-high-points is not quite parallel to the line of the top of the bed rail (the front wheel arch is slightly higher than the rear wheel arch when the truck frame / bed rails are 'bubble level').

"Perceived level" is a function of the dominant visual lines and gaps for most of us, not necessarily the same as the 'bubble level' of any given line.
