2022 Limited Powerboost slamming into gear from a stop

So I thought we had turned the corner with this truck. The AC order appears to be fixed and it’s running smooth , MPG could be better but I’m living with it. Dropped my daughter at her dorm, sitting at a red light , when I start to go the truck slams so hard I thought I had been hit. I stopped and looked around . Went to the next stop , similar but not quite as hard. Nurse it home since it was closer than the dealership, called and talked to my Service advisor ( yes I’ve been there so much she’s the only one im to call) she explains that they have done the update and need to bring it in so they can tear down the transmission and rebuild it … anyone else have this done. Just when I think I’m gonna keep it , this happens .

Sounds like you're about to get a fully rebuilt trans. A good tech can do it in a day if parts are ready. Ask them to inspect the valve body for wear while it's apart.

I had this issue and as a matter of fact there is a thread about this very issue somewhere in the forum. I took it in and after half a day they called and said it's fixed. I haven't had any issues similar to being hit from behind any longer but I doubt they completely fixed anything and rather, they just played with the software. I want to attempt replacing my aux pump this summer to see if it will fix my issue as I still feel something isn't working properly. I get minor lock ups prior to moving from a stand still and it only shows its ugly head in winter.

Doesn't sound like for yours but for mine, it was either a break in type thing, or something corrected OTA.

When new, it would happen occasionally. Hard enough to make me look the first few times but never severe.

But seems to be gone now. Hasn't happened in a long time.

Sounds like an AUX pump issue. Mine had the issue, and the pump fixed the problem. Been good since.

If you fall within the CDF drum replacement window, get a rebuild!
Then a trans pump
