Hello everyone, as of today my 2022 F150 has started a front and grinding noise. This only happens in 2 Wheel, and goes away when I go into four-wheel-drive.

I can hear it at speed above 10 miles an hour, however after driving a few miles, it goes away. Then when I park it and start driving again, I can hear it then it goes away.

I don’t have a direct video from my phone, but I have a video I found on YouTube that sounds exactly like it. Does anyone know the cause ? Thank you!

So I have a 2023 F150 that has 12,000 miles on it. Bought it new in 2024 It did it last year the first cold snap I’m not sure if you experienced that but it happens in the first 4 to 5 miles of driving and it seems it might be the EIWE‘s that are trying to disengage Ford does have a latest TSB 242189 bulletin on it, but I had mine done and I picked it up last year and it did the same thing so I’m waiting to see what happens this year I live in Minnesota so I should be experiencing it soon if it’s gonna happen Usually it happens on days below 20° outside. The Ford dealer did call the tech service hotline and I guess they are aware of the problem if yours is associated with the same thing that apparently they’re working on either a software update or electronic IWE updates but it’s going on shortly 12 months and I haven’t heard anything yet. I checked with the dealer in July and there were still no updates yet.
