Another week and no Vin. After seeing my fellow March ordered getting theirs I made another call to my dealer. We discussed this at length and about an hour later I get a call that it’s my Tow Technology option with 360’ cameras holding things up. I’m not sure what the deal is with Ford, I’ve seen others post that they had 360’ on their orders? Anyway I said remove it. By the time my truck comes in it will be a base model I’ll be rolling down windows!!
Anyway might go to the RAM dealer I’m on Saturday just to see what they have.

I think some of the constraints may be based on the trim level? If some things come standard on some but are options on others, and happen to be constrained? - to be honest I don't really know, I'm just trying to take a stab at making sense - probably not a good idea. Good luck next week after this removal!

I'll keep you in my prayers brother! I know how frustrating this must be. I don't blame you at all for considering other options.

That sucks because when I ordered my truck (in March) the sales manager called me the next day and said that the Tow Tech and 360 Camera were on a list (not sure of the specific terminology) that would make my truck a 2023 model year if they were included. He was clear: If I wanted a 2022, I had to remove these options prior to him submitting the order. It's a shame your dealer didn't do the same for you. The info from Ford was on their desk.

My salesman is actually a friend of mine and my dad and brother work at the dealership and they did not mention this to me. And I am super impatient so they know how I am. If they knew in March that this was the case I would think they would have mentioned it. I will be the test mule I guess I am not going to remove any options from mine and see how long this takes. Maybe it ends up being an MY 23. ?‍♀

I don't have the tow tech package but I have the tow package and added the 360 camera and got scheduled. Only thing I can think of is constraints may be trim specific like @jflottawa mentioned

Yeah I assume the more stuff a guy has on the longer it will take. I am not sure how they do it if they do runs of certain styles also. Like if they do a block of Supercrew 5.5' then a block of 6.5'. Toss in some extended cabs here and there. And then a dab of regular cabs. ?‍♂ I know here in WI there are about 20 to 1 more 5.5' than 6.5'. This delay is actually a blessing in disguise for me. My 2017 got golf ball size hailed on a couple weeks ago so I was glad that day I hadn't got my new one yet.

I ordered a XL/SLT so maybe it is the Trim level I just know I'm pretty pissed. Tried calling the dealer this morning left a message to call me back still waiting, its like my money isnt good enough. I plan to pay in cash if I ever do get the truck I might go to bank and get all ones!! :devilish:

I did close to that a couple years back. I had a salesman at the John Deere store being a bit of a tool when I bought my tractor. So watching 3 clowns count out $24k in $20s I thought was awesome. $1s would be hilarious. Go right at closing time also.

Being one of the few from this month to already have received their truck I will admit I did not go with a lot of the flashy options. While I do have a Lariat 502A I did not opt for the 360 camera or the max tow package

I did do the BAP so I guess its a give and take, I honestly feel like my dealership doesn't push a lot of personal orders (atleast from what I gathered from my dealer) but is a big dealership in a decently sized city

I got the 502a package, space white, extended fuel tank, and bed utility package. Only options I added.
