Brought my truck in this morning because 90% of the time my wipers don't work. They told me it's a recalled part and don't have it in stock.
There is also not really an ETA on it either, they said a few weeks to a few months most likely. I was offered a rental car from enterprise (canadian rental car company) but would get a vehicle completely inferior to what I paid for in the mean time and not a truck.

Has anybody else had these issues? Has anybody been able to get any compensation for these types of issues?

Does your truck have Rain Sense Wipers?

If you had rain sensing wipers turned off were you able to use the wipers manually?

Yes, it just puts it into a good-ole'-fashion intermitant mode.
I suggest removing the cover and see if you are missing the bracket that hold the sensor, or for anything else that might cause the sensor not to sit tight to the window.

Ah we have different issues. By intermittent I meant that sometimes I'll start the truck and they'll work and sometimes they won't. As in even with the washer spray they wouldn't work either. Other times I'll fire up the truck and they'll work. Something is a little fucky.

Did you turn off Rain Sense in the settings and they still don't work?

Yeah, I turned rain sensing off and the same result. They only work sometimes when I manually turn them on.

OK, just to clarify - "manually" meaning you set it to standard/continuous LO or HIGH speed, as in the good ole' fashion wipers?

By turning rain sensing wipers off and setting the dial to low, medium, high etc they will only sometimes work. 90% of the time the switch does nothing. The other random times I'll fire up the truck and they'll work fine!
Good ole fashion wipers. It's as if the switch doesn't work most of the time!
