Hi all looking for feedback.
Just dropped my truck at dealer for transmission trouble that seems to be commonplace with this transmission.
Approx. 85,000 miles, 140k
Very harsh shifting, shuddering, loss of power, gears jumping, going into 8th gear when slowing down, going into neutral, etc.
I have full warranty until 2027 or another 30k kms. Dealer told me it was a 2 hour diagnostic charge to start with which is fine and it will be waved if under warranty and I will just have to pay 100$ deductible.
They just called and told me tranny is pooched and they need to tear it down.
I said ok, it’s under warranty right?
He said he didn’t know until it was apart.
He asked me to authorize 8 hours of work to find out. Pretty close to $2k to start.
Is this normal?
Canadian truck, 2021 limited powerboost.
