Exactly my understanding as before. I was curious as to why you'd want to do that. Not to worry ?You can only go Forward just like odometer.
So that I could update the running and idle hours on a new cluster to match the old one.Exactly my understanding as before. I was curious as to why you'd want to do that. Not to worry ?
I did go back in FORScan and chance the ASS using the common spread sheet and works great. No battery on dash this way. ?My opinion is that it will have no effect on the systems. The only influence is running the engine all the time ( no ASS) as opposed to more use of the starter system which is meant to cope with the extra work and battery (ASS).
1. I don't think so; it only comes on automatically with proximity via the parking sensors. Once your speed is low and you're keeping it low, one press of the camera button shows 360° view and it automatically turns off when above the low speed threshold.I have tried a search and it could well be here or not possible. But I would love help on 2 items :
1. When slowing down to less than 5mph or less even the 360 cameras come on. I use it a ton all the time. I wouldn’t care at a traffic light per se and would assume I can just press the camera button to exit.
2. autofold mirrors when shifter is in park.
For 1. Mine don’t come on automatically when parking. I have to press the button first and get the cameras up. Is there a way to get ir on automatically?1. 2. I don't think so; investigate Lincoln auto fold on the common tab for a behaviour that might suffice, but only if you don't mind losing puddle lamps.
It should come on automatically when you're about a foot or two away from an obstacle (wall etc.)For 1. Mine don’t come on automatically when parking. I have to press the button first and get the cameras up. Is there a way to get ir on automatically?
Have a look in Service Procedures (spanner icon). There should be an alignment procedure as one of the IPMA procedures. If you can't get it to complete and clear the code, you may need to do the alignment in FDRS.i installed ford OEM tow mirrors on my truck with 360 cameras. the 360 camera would not work... took them back off and installed the original mirrors back on.. they work but seem to be a little blurry and have set this code that will not clear out.. can this be fixed with forscan or fdrs...
Firstly, you don't need to buy a licence for FORScan, you can use the full 2-month trial. It isn't linked to your VIN per se; what it does is initially a full scan of the truck where you will see the VIN mostly obscured by asterisks (***). It is licensed to the PC via a hardware ID which you provide to them and receive an activation code to enable the 2-month trial. The purpose of the hardware ID is so that they can see that you haven't put the trial licence on more than 2 PCs.Hey all I picked up a forscan tool that I saw recommended it is the vgate v-linker, says all the right things on the Amazon page but now that I'm reading through the spreadsheet its saying 21+ needs the OBDlink EX and doesn't show my device in the list of acceptable devices. Is this just an older list or is the OBDLink the only one that will work with a 2025? Don't want to link my vin to a device that isn't going to do what I need and have to buy another license.
Ill give it a try then, thank you. I had seen other posts about devices that link to a certain vehicle once plugged in. I've used plenty of OBD scanners but mostly just for scanning and doing logs in torque havent used a laptop to change ecu settings since the old DSM link so I just want to make sure I'm starting from the best spot possible. Appreciate the advice.Firstly, you don't need to buy a licence for FORScan, you can use the full 2-month trial. Secondly, try your vlinker. Many people here have one and they're working fine. If it doesn't, post a screenshot of the error and also of the connection info tab.
Thanks. I have looked... not sure if its best to run this in fdrs or forscan... just don't understand why it would be off if i installed the original mirrors back on the truck.. these thing are way to temperamental..Have a look in Service Procedures (spanner icon). Check what you have here and make sure MFCPAF is on.For 1. Mine don’t come on automatically when parking. I have to press the button first and get the cameras up. Is there a way to get ir on automatically?
