2021 F-150 Adaptive Steering Fault service required

Hey what's going on guys I have a 2021 F-150 King ranch 5.0 v8 with 42,000 miles and the rack was locking on him me at random times when i would steer pretty hard till it recently locked permanently so I purchased a used one and it came off of a 2023 with 14,000 miles and I got a shop to hook everything up and from some reason after the repair was done I kept getting a Adaptive steering fault service required message and the wheel was tilted about 5 degrees to the right and it was tough to steer on the left side compared to the right along with heated steering and all my drive modes weren't available anymore. I've taken it to multiple people and had some program specialists take a look at it and they can't really figure out what was wrong if any here has any answers that could help I would greatly appreciate it. I don't know the specifics, but as long as the replacement rack is "good" I would suspect it just needs to be calibrated? I had the dealer "recalibrate" of my lane keeping stuff as it would wonder in a lane ... it seemed to work. Good luck.

Whats going on brother @PlatPwrboost so I changed to rack again today just to see it was the previous rack with that adaptive steering issue but the same thing keeps happening I called 6 dealership within the metro Detroit area to get a quote and appointment scheduled no one that I spoke on the phone seemed to know what kind of issue im having and how to resolve it. So im kind of in a crappy situation.

Guys, I'm in a similar situation. My truck also greets me with the same message every morning.

The mileage is now almost 16,000 miles. I bought a truck with 8000 miles of mileage and there was already a mistake at that time. After reading the forum, I came to the conclusion that the solution is only to replace the steering wheel assembly. Is this the case, or are there other options? Who tried what?
