Warning on center dash area shows the following: "12v Battery State of Charge Low" . I have a 2021 Lariat PowerBoost with 34,000 miles +/-, is this the "Start" battery or the the other that powers the car when running on electric power? Would be under the factory warranty?

I find myself baffled by Ford's system voltage programming. the true battery charge state can be read from its no load voltage. In order to measure that you need to see the voltage before any module triggers. Pop the hood and move away for an hour or more. Then approach the truck without the key FOB and check the voltage with a voltmeter. As to what goes on in the truck when you start it: 1st as you approach it some modules trigger, this lowers voltage maybe half a volt; 2nd when you hit start, the Traction battery is connected raising voltage; 3rd when the engine starts the main battery is disconnected from the system and the central computer is powered by the aux battery under the back seat; then when the engine starts, the starter/generator begins supporting voltage along with the traction battery with voltage being determined by programming. I've seen my truck go from ~12.0 VDC to 15.1 VDC and staty there for hours. I've also seen it go to12.9VDC right after start ad stay there. Go figure. So what's going on with yours? I had some similar things happen while on important travels four months after delivery. Pulled in to a local NAPA store and bought at their catalog battery for my truck. Not a peep since out of the system. My conclusion is that Ford somehow has defective OEM batteries. Either the alloy in the battery is off or the batteries sat in a filed waiting for chips...
