do you have the console or bench seat?

I have the console. That HVAC trim will be a different piece if you have the jump seat.

I added the photos of how mine came out with the new cluster. One shows the gaps you will have if you don’t replace the cluster and dash trim. I didn’t replace it because the cluster was $500 trim is looking like $1k so I’m going to hold off for awhile and try to find it cheaper somewhere else.

Not a problem. I just edited that last post with some photos. The only thing I need besides the dash trim is a black insert for the sync screen. My old one had two slots and this one is three.

You should be able to in Forscan that is where I did mine. Note that you can only increase mileage on a cluster not decrease.

I have a ‘23 XL STX. I did the conversion and have the correct power but I’m not sure what forscan changes to do. On startup, I still have the small screen and I also have no backup camera so I know something isn’t right. Anyone have any advice on what changes to do? Thanks!

What I did, probably not the best way I’m sure others know the proper way to do it. In forscan I went into the APIM before the swap and just took a picture of the screen. Scrolled down a little took a picture of the next set, until I got everything. Then I swapped the APIM and changed everything to match the photos. You need to change the visual design variant to 12” landscape and enable rear camera

You can easily do it yourself through forscan the cluster itself is plug n play just remember you will have gaps like seen in pictures without full trim parts don’t

12" screen can easily be installed using the Gore method with stock apim by tapping into fuse 29 and 36 and forscan change credit goes to john gore his the guru for this all info came from him will need cables wpt982 and ML3Z14D202B

Did you get any pictures of what the wiring should look like behind the screen?

I had it all hooked up with a new 12 inch apim but it seems the apim would turn off and I couldn't get certain features to work like reverse camera. Will copying my asbuilt forscan features and uploading to 12 inch inch one fix it? That's where I'm not sure.

Yes that’s what you were supposed to do first make sure your original asbuilt is loaded up to new apim than just change the 8’ to 12’ , if you have access to a mongoose cable update it/PMI it as well

Wonder if this method would work on a 23 bronco to upgrade the screen. Gonna have to do some digging thanks for sharing.
