If you turn on your cruise and activate lane centering then it will kick on Bluecruise automatically if you are on a road that allows it, mostly just interstate. I am almost to 2K miles and my MPG continues to get better. MPG varying by what type of road i am on, right now 23.2 with powerboost on curvy state highway. Changed my oil at 1250 miles and oil was surprisingly dark.

Did you change your filter as well? If so - did you go with Ford and how was the process to change out the filter?

Regarding undercoating/rustproofing - growing up in snow belt PA, we used to oil our cars every year. $20/30 - spray the under side and hollow panels with used motor oil then run it down a dirt road. Never had any rust issues. I imagine they don't do that anymore.

Thanks for the Pic - she looks great! We got worried (okay I got worried) - thought something happened in this day and age. Really glad you have it - I've had mine 8 days and have only driven it twice. (I told my wife it's a lookin' truck, not a driving truck.) ?

I don't know, a non-OEM bumper might keep some of that VA traffic away from you.

So are you flying from CA to VA to pick up or shipping it or?

Delivery ETA updated by Ford Tracker and confirmed by dealer is 2/6. Hope it sticks. Great looking trucks, folks! It's been an interesting ride for sure.

Thanks for that tidbit on the oil change and the two drains on the catch tray. I'll look for those when I do mine. To get the original filter off - any issues doing it by hand, use large Channellocks, or a filter end cap socket?

Wish I had watched the video before I did mine. I don't have skid plates but there is a small opening in the plastic piece for the oil to fall through. I used a belt style oil filter wrench and was surprised the filter was not extra tight. I felt it was just tight enough to stay on.

Damn. Did you get a "shipped" email yet?

Looks like our trucks were built around the same time. It's all a black box, but I'm pretty sure mine just sat at whatever depot 45 min away from the dealer until the final ETA date. Which is to say, I'm pretty sure it sat outside for almost a month in the same place the whole time and all of the "shipped" or "delayed" notifications were just about whether or not it had been scheduled on a truck for that last leg

Chip can (or should be able to) work with you to set your truck GPS so you can see it move. Note - he will need to 1) accept your activation request from FordPass and then 2) allow GPS tracking on your truck. If the 2nd thing is not done, tracking will not work.

Well, that didn't turn out to well. I asked Chip if he wouldn't mind doing that for me and he said he didn't have time.

Yeah, I don't get it. He was kinda rude about it too. This has not been a pleasant experience dealing with them to say the least. This is the last time I make a major purchase halfway across the country; 7 states away.
To add to this, they called me about an hour after the truck was picked up and shipped out that they forget to put the temp registration info on the back window. They're going to mail it to me.

Good news boys (and girls if we have any on this thread)! Delivered to dealer this afternoon just after I got an FMC email this morning pushing the ETA out to 2/12. Palsapp never updated at all. Going in the morning to seal the deal. Will report back. This pic is pre-inspection, pre-detail. Cheers!

Sorry to hear that - not sure if they are getting too many orders from across the country or what.

I saw that I didn't have my temp registration/tags when the truck arrived - called Dexter and he overnighted it - got it the very next day.

One transportation lady I called had items she wanted at time of pickup or she wouldn't pick it up - drive out tags & papers showing ownership. I would assume she was being cautious and/or had travel experience(s) without that paperwork. The two gentlemen that delivered my car apparently only needed the keys.

Excellent news! Hope your buying experience goes well. Remember the ESP plans costs at Zeigler's and Flood Ford for comparisons to what your dealer has.
