12/13 Build Week

No I used a transport broker. United quoted me $1100 in December (and that month is typically higher for transport costs due to holidays). In January I called back and the price went to $2100 - Bam. I asked why it nearly doubled - "hold on - I can do it for $1300 - there was an increase and I think they figured the wrong prices".

I checked on enclosed transports and they were $1750 to $3500 (the high priced one said I was like two vehicles so he needed to charge me for two spaces.)

I ended up with a transport broker at 850 (no I can do it for 900 max), and then 936 with credit card fees... Open transport as you probably saw the pics. The broker I used was considered for use by another of our builds in the following week. He's supposed to have insurance so I went with him.

If you are interested PM me and I'll get you his contact info. He did keep me informed on pickup day and delivery day (45 minutes out).

Chip can (or should be able to) work with you to set your truck GPS so you can see it move. Note - he will need to 1) accept your activation request from FordPass and then 2) allow GPS tracking on your truck. If the 2nd thing is not done, tracking will not work.

OK. Thanks for the all the info Rotty! I'm going to see how the weather looks over the next 12 to 24 hours and make a decision then. I'll let you know.

I’m still bringing up the markers on 12/13. ?that railcar will start moving tonight after sitting at an intermediate stop for 9 days. 2/6 might be right on, if it gets picked up at the final rail yard promptly.

My United load changed from inactive to pending pickup with an eta of tomorrow (matching the ford eta of 2/1). As far as I can tell, this means it’s just been sitting at the depot for like 3 weeks.

I drove mine to work for the first time and it was the nicest ride I've ever been in. I need to watch some more videos and get things like auto fold mirrors when parked set but very impressed. I did see adaptive cruise work on the way in. Got to look for blue cruise now.

Thinking about ceramic coating the side and rear windows.

FordPass: My vehicle icon is incorrect and still of a Lightning, plus wrong color. I chatted with Ford and was informed "programmers are working on it". Is this the icon you have with your new truck as well? Minor issue I know, but I'm just curious.
*If I pull up the towing tab, it does show the correct F150 plus the right color.

It is a "smooth" ride! The flippin' Minnesota/North Dakota weather does eat into the gas mpg, plus idiling is no help and about north of 10% of my driving has been electric. Blue Cruise is activated and works on the highways around the Fargo/Moorhead area very nicely. Seat massager and seat heat - I'm impressed with. Heated steering wheel I use more than I thought I would and I like it. The seat heat and steering wheel heat for the driver-side activate if remote started in these ridiculous temps we've had. My tonneau cover will be here soon! I have the 150th Limited for the MY 2022. I feel pretty special.

FordPass shows a gray Lightning for me. It appears my "connected charging station" button has been removed though - which makes sense. I don't see a towing tab on mine. (Might be looking in the wrong location.)

Ford.com shows my truck (color & model is correct) but has no instructional videos.

I had a heated steering wheel when I started the truck this AM and thought the same thing - pretty cool (umm.. neat). I've yet to activate the blue cruise. I could find no generic instructions for it on my ford.com. (Other than a few seconds within another non-specific instructional video.)

I'll be interested to see what the MPG is like for me. I may get a WIFI extension cord (remote timed on/off) and try out the engine block heater and see how it works in cold weather and for MPG. Mud Flaps are now shipped - so looking forward to getting those on.

Thanks - I plan to drive mine for the first time tomorrow (on a road and not my drive). I've been getting the old truck ready for sale and putting miles on it. I still feel bad about the others that haven't received theirs yet.

Congrats! Looks sharp! What did your build date end up being?

Excellent - I thought that was the last we heard - did they get the financing worked out for you?

Anyone seen @Recurve ? Last word was at the dealer on 1/14. Hope no news is good news.

Also any word from our 5 remaining builds on the list awaiting delivery? 3 are past the last ETA and two have tomorrow and 6 days out as last ETA.

Delivery ETA updated by Ford Tracker and confirmed by dealer is 2/6. Hope it sticks. Great looking trucks, folks! It's been an interesting ride for sure.

I tried but it looks like whatever account I've got set up with United is linked to deliveries at Chapman (it won't let me remove that criteria from search). For what its worth, I tried searching your VIN with the Chapman field still in there (thinking the tool may be broken enough for it to still work) but it didn't return any results. Sorry!

On my end, Chapman can neither confirm nor deny that they've received my truck - looks they are still going through deliveries to sort out whats there - nor do they think they can fit me in this weekend as they are all booked up.. so the wait continues

Hey Guys, Looks like I'm joining your week from 11/29. Thanks to @70Mach1 for starting this thread.

I kept a list of trucks on the 11/29 thread similar to what @pkinneb was keeping on the 11/1 thread.

I've gathered some info from our builds and posted below. Let me know if I missed something.

Dest is Delivery Destination (dealership). I'm in TN and I'm buying from Koons in VA, hence VA for my truck.
Plant is either DRB - Dearborn, or KC - Kansas City
Trim is XL, XLT, etc.
Ordered is your original order date (if you had a 21 converted to a 22 for example)
Build is you build week (now) and then specifically your build day (later). That will change to a Built date when your truck is done.
Shipped is when it leaves production.
Del ETA is when you first get that info from the trackers. Hopefully Delivered, when it arrives at the dealer, turns out to be much sooner than the Del ETA.

If you ordered non-Ford parts (wheel well liners, spray in liner, etc.), those are marked with * after the user name. Those seem to take 1-5 days per the 11/1 builds to get to the shipped date, after the build date.
If you have a KR, or Plat, let me know if you also ordered Adaptive Steering (AS). That was a known delay on the 11/3 schedule notes if you did not order that option.
Work Surface (WS) was recently noted by one sales rep to cause a delay. Not sure if this is true, but I figured I'd track it, so let me know if you ordered that.

I believe these should all be 2022 models. If you are having a 2021 built instead, that would of interest.

Hopefully this list will help us see when our trucks may arrive by watching others on the same list. It should also be helpful to builds in other weeks in anticipating their deliveries.

Koons Ford in Falls Church? My parents bought their '71 Torino 500 from them. It turned out to be my first car. Best part of that car is it was 351 Cleveland powered!
