I ordered the interior work surface. Didn’t think some extra plastic would be a cause for delay. No chips for that
I know someone who ordered a platinum the week before I did in July and his also came with the work surface. The guy in ATL said there were zero of those in stock and was the only thing holding my build.

INTERIOR WORK SURFACE CAUSING DELAYS!

Ordered in July (my story is above). Been calling my sales rep every week, all he could say is "still not scheduled". Stopped by by to see him in person today, this is what we discovered.

The rep checked the computer and it was not showing any commodity hold. He then called his Ford rep in ATL. He looked up my order and said it was on hold due to the interior work surface (which evidently my guy couldn't see). He said if I would remove that feature, he would get my build scheduled TODAY.

Will update when I get official word.
I am scheduled with int work surface. Don't remember where I read, but remember something about 2 kw or 2.4 kw causing delays. I may be wrong

I guess I got lucky, interior work surface and 2KW pro power... Though I will not be too hopeful till I see it's built and shipped.

I did not order the work surface and still don’t have a reason for my delay

Word to the wise-never ask you dealer for an update. I just checked in with them today and got this back-

Looks like I’m moving to the 12/20 week. Looking forward to pictures of y’all’s trucks when you get them at Christmas.

Yes, I have the interior work surface option.
Hypothetically: Your VIN is 27071. If Ford completes a truck every minute it will take 20 days. If they start rolling out trucks about Dec 1 and done in VIN order (idk). 24hr X 60min X 20days = 28800
My VIN is near 14000 and last I heard my build day was Nov 30. It could change

They aren’t doing VIN order apparently. I thought like most of you did, the earlier you placed an order, the sooner you got it. It must depend on options. I ordered 10/1(first available order day for 2022’s) and am VIN 02462 and have a build date of 1/17.

Did your salesman tell you about the $3500 offer?

The tracker here and on Mach-E both show my status as in production as of this afternoon. Now I’m really confused.

Do you have a window sticker yet? I think they show "In Production" when they're finally sent to the plant, up to 10 days before your build day, which is right on track if you're 11/29. Once it's "sent to plant" then all our window stickers should start getting populated.

I don't show a change yet on my trackers, but I'm a DRB build and a 22 build. And my day is 12/2, so a couple after you.

Yes the sticker started showing yesterday with an 11/29 blend date. So I guess it’s just making forward process towards that.
