Damn.
Well, if misery loves company...there's at least 2 of us.
It's starting to seem like Ford wants to intentionally piss us off.
These look to be Dearborn builds - perhaps the recent floods pushed things by a week?

And I have a freight bill number now too from https://palsapp.com/
pending of course but hey, moving forward.
we all need to accept these issues and be patient. Everyone is in the same boat. Stay calm and carry on I say.

Got this today.

Hello Scott,

First off, thank you for ordering an all-new 2021 F-series.

And look, we know F-Series owners understand a thing or two about accountability. Showing up for your family, for your community, for your business is one of the most important things you do.

We share that belief here in Dearborn, which makes this update all the more difficult. Unfortunately, delivery of your new 2021 F-Series is delayed.

Covid-19 supply base challenges combined with the global semiconductor chip shortage are impacting our ability to keep up with demand.

That's no excuse, but it is a reality. One we're rolling up our sleeves to tackle every day.

We want you to know how sorry we are, and that we're working day and night to fix the situation. We're looking at every option to get trucks into driveways sooner.

Rest assured that the delayed delivery of your truck isn't related solely to the date you placed your order. These delays are related to the supply problems created by the chip shortage.

We also want you to know how much we appreciate your patience and loyalty. On top of other incentives that you might qualify for, we'd like to give you a $100 Amazon Gift Card.

We are working nonstop to get your truck to you as soon as possible and we're committed to keeping you and your dealer updated on the situation. This isn't just logistics to us, it's about honoring an agreement between you and each worker on the line, at the dealership, and with the Ford Truck Team. An agreement that says every truck we build is Build Ford Tough. Simple as that.

SIncerely,

The Ford F-Series Team.

Better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. When you think about how many of these they will give out on top of the losses they will be experiencing due to the decline in sales this year, it is at least a gesture. More than we have been getting from them in the past year of chaos.

Its a gesture equivilant to someone handing you a square of tp after not telling you the toilet you just crapped in wont flush due to lack of water

Curious as to why there is this concern, do ordering practices and consumer protection differ that much between the US and Canada?

When I purchase a vehicle, there is a signed contract with an agreed upon price. I have never been told that they couldn't honor that price when the vehicle arrives. Do folks actually go to pickup their vehicle and be told they owe more than originally signed for or are folks just worried for nothing.
I agree , but there are possibilities that if mileage is getting higher it could be a issue . I myself ordered in early March and just renegotiated my trade in value at 5k more , but did hand over my truck , luckily I have another car to drive , just saying people there are options .

Here's the answer I just got from the dealer. This is what the FORD REP told him.
This is ridiculous.

For the first time today, I tried to reach someone at Ford to get more insight as to how they are coming up with October 31 (or in my case, November 3) as ETA delivery for trucks like mine that were assembled in April and then parked.
First I called Ford Customer Service @ 800 392-3673 but they turned out to be essentially just Marketing, and they transferred me to the "Ford Customer Relationship Center" where the person took my information and then gave me the Nov 3 date (again) from the Visibility Report. I asked HOW they determined this date...and he said his knowledge was limited to what he could read on his computer screen.
So no insight gained.
ScottBB -- Quite interesting that Ford sent you this letter / email.
Seems to be the first acknowledgement from Ford that they have created some unhappy customers.
=> Were you in communication with Ford and this is their response?

I have sent them a message on FB about how they really need to do a better job of communicating but I had not given them any real info on my dealer or my order. No, the letter was sent to my dealer and then given to me. It looks like a pretty canned response as they keep mentioning the F-Series Truck instead of the F-150 order so I assume a lot of people will be getting the same response soon if they have not already.
