Just got my window sticker.

@BIGSTUF you got yours too.

Looks like my build just missed the multi contour seating cutoff. I was never contacted about it being removed, but its removed off my window sticker. Sad day.
I seem to have missed out by 3 days. Here's my rant I keep posting cuz I'm pissed:

Ok fine, you can't build my multicontour seats, at least adjust the price in an equitable fashion.

I've calculated their "price" for this option. I had to work backwards, follow me.

A King Ranch high equipment group is $4975
It includes the following:
bed utility
20" alum wheels
multicontour seats
and unleashed audio.

As separate options, the prices for these are:
bed utility 995
20" wheels 1125
unleashed audio 695 (taken from Lariat)

Those 3 add up to 2815.

If you subtract that amount from the 4975 they charge, that leaves you with:
4975-2815=2160

Ford is giving a measly $300 back for removing an option they 'charge' $2160 for elsewhere. What a crappy way to treat your customer.

This is on top of forcing me to add the tow package to my high equipment group Platinum when the build without it already includes everything from that option except perhaps the solid stabilizer bar. They double charge you on all the additions is my point. There are other threads on that topic. I was forced into adding it because I wanted the tow mirrors.

What's it going to be next?

They do. Vehicle Visibility Report.
Got an email from Granger stating the vehicle is in transit to Granger. The Ford site still shows in production. So I'm not quite sure what that means.

Does anyone know if Granger gets more information/notifications than what I can see on the Ford site?
The in transit statement appears to be erroneous. Chip said he thought they had changed that and asked me to fwd it to him. Finance is creating false hopes.

I kind of figured something was off. Didn't make sense for the dates on the window sticker to be after the truck shipped. But I don't mind, it'll be here sooner than later.

I am upset. Those seats were a big reason we moved up to a Platinum over a Lariat; my wife has some nerve issues and can't sit for long periods of time without being in pain. She rode in a friend's Explorer ST that had massaging seats for several hours and noticed she never one was in pain during the trip.

Since we have a travel trailer and would like to take it on longer trips, the Platinum seemed like the way to go, only now we're finding we waited 6 months to have the one feature we were anticipating the most removed without being informed ahead of time. @Ford Motor Company I know commodity shortages are difficult in these times but you guys really need to work on your communication. Finding out about these changes at the 11th hour is not a good look.

@dkevox If you're headed down to Granger, IA for your truck, first round is on me.
That really sucks, I hope you can find a way to add the seats later. I agree that Ford needs to do a better job of communicating these issues to customers. Or at least give you the option to wait a little longer to get the seats instead of just auto deleting them from your build. I hope someone from Ford does chime in, because for your wife the issue is more than just a nice to have feature. I can only imagine her and your frustration. Sorry man.

@DarkSkyForever @BIGSTUF If our trips do line up, I'll get your second third and fourth beer ;)

I would have taken a window sticker with no seats than a delay. I am not scheduled to be built until 8/1.

Looks like someone slapped their hand:

Hello,

This is the finance department at Granger Motors.

Please Read: YOUR VEHICLE HAS NOT ARRIVED YET!

I was looking at the VINs every truck is being built in Dearborn. Is the Kanas plant closed?

All but two are Powerboosts (only built at Dearborn). Two trucks aren't a large enough sample size to determine that.

Same here. Half the reason I went up to a Platinum was to get Max-Recline seats. Multi-contour was a nice plus. Now I have neither.

What is next for us?
  1. The tracker already says in production.
  2. Modules should populate 2-4 days after blend date.
  3. If thats all correct we see an activate button on the app.
  4. Then wait for shipping?

did i miss anything i can be checking or watching?
