I'm thinking some of us that are waiting for shipping might be till at least July until we're shipped. I'd love to be wrong but it seems like Ford doesn't give a damn about any trucks that sit from being off chip hold. It's probably like a single riders line at an amusement park for a roller-coaster. Got one spot open on the rail/convoy? Grab a held back truck.
It's BS, they need to get them shipped. I would assume they hold them until they have enough vehicles going to the same area to fill a truck. Hopefully they don't jack up the shipping cost after the fact.

Been out camping and busy with life the last week. Got the shipment notice for mine I think Thursday last week. Havent used chat or reached out to the dealer so not sure if the timeline is still 6/24-6/30 or if its sooner.

I reached out to my saleswoman and she confirmed they are expecting delivery THIS WEEK!!

I did not receive an email from Ford and the Order Tracker still says Awaiting Shipment. She told me that's happened a few times and also confirmed that they do get vehicles in that went convoy via car carrier directly to the plant to Annapolis MD. Seems odd there might not be rail in there but she said Ford is hustling to get things sent out and the communications may not be sync'd up. Keeping my fingers crossed....
False alarm. I was out of town over the weekend and checking with my saleswoman she confirmed a no-show. I called Ford this morning and I'm still showing "Awaiting Shipment" on a "Delayed Plant Hold" with no other info. The rep didn't think it was a chip hold as she thought that there was a distinction. The guess is it's waiting on getting a carrier to move the truck to its next destination. Funny that Ford is still showing an ETA of 6/3-6/9.

I think that's the most frustrating part of this is the inconsistency of information for the customer. I get the global supply chain issues and manufacturing impacts but the dealer and marketing should get consistent and timely info on what is happening to my vehicle.

I knew I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up.

So you got a built email on 5/16? I was told by my dealer that "built" status meant they were done with it and have released the truck to be shipped. Wonder how you would have gotten a built status yet be on a delayed plant hold unless that is code for "we are holding it just to F with you".

His original post on it said he did not get a built email. I'm thinking the salesperson may have misread the ETA for the current status as delivery ETA (seems this happens a lot), and gave our friend some false hope. FWIW, I'm seeing a lot of people posting on these boards with seemingly better insight/understanding of deciphering the vehicle status than dealers and salespeople (not to mention Ford Chat reps and etc.). I believe it accounts for the varying information people report receiving when checking for a status update. If the person you're speaking with doesn't know how to read and interpret the data they're seeing, they can give you incorrect information that typically paints a rosier picture than reality.

Happened to me. Got a built email, trackers still said in production. Talked to Ford chat, was on a chip hold even though it was marked built. Luckily my chip hold was insanely short.

Just spoke to chat and they gave me a pushed back date now of July 15-21 as an expected ship date. It was a expected delivery date of 6/28-7/5 before

Correct. I did get a "Built" email with the infamous September/October delivery to dealer. Subsequent chats/calls with Ford gave me ETA to dealer the first week of June and the dealer said they were seeing the same.

Exactly. I'm getting better at playing the game on information at each stage and hopefully these threads help those that are coming after us.

In my situation I envision my truck is built and sitting in a sea of F150, maybe stuck in the middle parked bumper-to-bumper, with no way to get to it without moving all the others. This is where 3PL/carrier logistics takes over and may be broken because of how they optimally load trucks, etc. All a guess as no one seems to have any clear answers.

Ford's going to have to get WAY better at this part of the supply chain if they want to catch Tesla and market/sell directly to consumers in the future. While the product will likely be fine the buying experience is poor to middling. Word gets around and if you aren't suited to the lack of transparency and information buyers will go elsewhere when the supply chain issues ease.

Quick apology, I realize I misread your question about the built email. You were asking about an email during the build week.

Go here and paste your VIN, sometimes you have to turn off your ad blocked or use a different browser so the captcha appears.

https://www.unitedroad.com/delivery-receipt/

If your truck is traveling via United, there will be a load number I think.

I put in your VIN and nothing came up, I think it’s safe to say yours is not traveling via United.

I “think” don’t quote me on this, but I know some bigger dealerships will hire there own drivers and Koons is not a small operation.

No pics of your new truck yet?

I’m confused. My dealer checked into my ETA being moved out to August.
According to the dealer’s report it’s ETA is still by the end of this month or very early July. Forgot to mention the dealer report had updated recently enough that it should have shown my truck as being delayed on the report.
I want to just cancel at this point but I’m trying to hang in there.

Well, got a call from the dealership, my truck arrived this afternoon without any warning to them. Hasn’t updated on the trackers yet. Assuming all goes well, I should be able to pickup on Thursday or Friday.
