I’m confused. My dealer checked into my ETA being moved out to August.
According to the dealer’s report it’s ETA is still by the end of this month or very early July. Forgot to mention the dealer report had updated recently enough that it should have shown my truck as being delayed on the report.
I want to just cancel at this point but I’m trying to hang in there.
The truck is built and you want to not take delivery?

Well, got a call from the dealership, my truck arrived this afternoon without any warning to them. Hasn’t updated on the trackers yet. Assuming all goes well, I should be able to pickup on Thursday or Friday.
What was your last status on any of the trackers?

BlueCruise was a surprise (the good kind) and the V8 in tow mode was perfect in my opinion. Better than I hoped for. Protected price, extra $1500 in incentives got me out the door for almost $12k less than MSRP.

First mod I “bought”(that Etsy seller ended up sending it pro bono cause he’s a great dude) was also first installed. Yes… ring lights are coming.

Awesome. Glad your day finally came.
Did tow mode prevent cylinder deactivation?

Correct. I did get a "Built" email with the infamous September/October delivery to dealer. Subsequent chats/calls with Ford gave me ETA to dealer the first week of June and the dealer said they were seeing the same.

Exactly. I'm getting better at playing the game on information at each stage and hopefully these threads help those that are coming after us.

In my situation I envision my truck is built and sitting in a sea of F150, maybe stuck in the middle parked bumper-to-bumper, with no way to get to it without moving all the others. This is where 3PL/carrier logistics takes over and may be broken because of how they optimally load trucks, etc. All a guess as no one seems to have any clear answers.

Ford's going to have to get WAY better at this part of the supply chain if they want to catch Tesla and market/sell directly to consumers in the future. While the product will likely be fine the buying experience is poor to middling. Word gets around and if you aren't suited to the lack of transparency and information buyers will go elsewhere when the supply chain issues ease.
I have actually bought a tesla. They give you absolutely no information as to what your status is. They give you an arbitrary date and in my personal experience they pretty much surprise you saying your car is ready. Come get it right away or you may not have it anymore. Generally at the end of the quarter (2 teslas fyi)

Indeed, "welcome to the party, pal!"

Have been following your progress since you were on some of the same early build weeks as me. Glad to see your ship come in.

Thanks everyone!

I did not hear any cylinder deactivation and was listening for it for a good 50 miles of relatively flat driving in 10th gear when I think it would have been most likely to kick on. If it did engage, there was no audible difference I could hear.

Still can't believe I made it back with the gauge reading 80 miles to empty.

Just filled this morning since Costco premium price was down and I want the first 1k on premium and Chapman told me they filled it with premium.

According to the napkin I got 18.33 MPG coming back, better than I expected honestly.
