The "three weeks" is the maximum contracted duration of wait time from when the rail company has unloaded your truck (Placed In Industry) at the closest rail holding yard to your dealer...to when it must be delivered to your dealer. Of all places I got this from someone at Reddit who worked in the auto trucking side of things. The chronology of my order was:

  • about two weeks sitting at the railyard (New Boston, MI) which is closest to Dearborn
  • about a week of rail transit down to Columbia, SC which is my nearest rail holding yard.
  • 19 days after being "placed in industry" at the railyard it was finally delivered to the dealer
  • dealer took three days to finish prep.
All told it was about six weeks of waiting after I got the "yer truck is built" email from Ferd. Seems about average compared to everyone else in the forum. Longest six weeks of my life, all told.

Thanks for sharing, that makes sense.

Just doesn't make sense how it is all over the place, some trucks built this build week are travelling hundreds of miles farther than mine, but have half the estimated wait time for deliver.

Guess I'm looking at a two week sit in VOLTZ, week of transit to Philaport where I hopefully won't have to wait 19 days for it to move the last 20 miles...

Checked my inbox and saw an email from "Ford Motor Company" and started anticipating either good news "Your F150 has shipped" or bad news "See you in December sucker!". It was neither:
Ford F-150 05/09/22 Build week 1653595767920

I'm all for merch that honors our military but Ford, don't do this to me!!!

I've seen that some of us have may25-31 as an estimated delivery date. Has anyone received the truck or status updates?

This is great info!

I wonder if the "three weeks" is the contracted timeframe for all truck transport. Based on your scenario (2 week truck + 1 week rail + 19 days truck) it fits that pattern.

My WS says "CONVOY" which according to documentation it's being shipped by truck to my dealer. I'm also "Built" and "Awaiting Shipment" per the tracking apps and ETA per Ford to my dealer is 6/1-6/7. It sorta fits that if they take the full "three weeks" to pick/pair the truck. I'll know by early next week if that holds true and I get a change in status on the trackers to "In Transit".

Wheel well liners arrived today. They join my 7in antenna, matte infotainment screen protector, LED license plate bulbs, tonneau cover, new car seats and seat protectors, and center console organizer in eager anticipation of the arrival of my truck. ?

I'm in the same boat! I have wheel well liners, leveling kit, tires, bed mat, back-up alarm delete and husky liners now just waiting for a truck that may be September now

I went with the Husky's. More coverage than the Ford's
Same

Going to see how the FX4 floor liners work, might just get the Husky floor liners, too.

I want to get a level kit now, but will that look stupid with stock rims and tires? I know what you are thinking.. get new rims and tires ? that’s not in the budget.

I'm sticking with stock size 275/60R20 which is the same overall diameter of the tremor if I'm not mistaken (33"). I went with Toyo Open Country AT3 in standard load. I just don't like the rake they come with and I don't tow too often or overly heavy.
