A diversion while 'waiting'

As mentioned, I found module data posted for my Lariat a day or so ago, all under the subheading "BCE Module" with nothing under the subheading "PCM Module". I copied the BCE Module data to Excel and did some playing with that last night, cross-referencing to the 2021+ F-150 FORScan Spreadsheet just for grins. I don't have any 'FORScan reprogramming' in mind, but the exercise reveals a lot about one's truck and its equipment / capabilities (note all of this is VIN specific to my F150, yours will differ) ...
  • There are 917 lines of data (each line has a module address and the 'instruction' values)
  • There are data for 22 modules, including the PCM Module
  • Each module has between 1-189 addresses
    Addresses
    Module
    10
BCMC [BJB] - Body Control Module C [battery junction box]
    56
IPMA - Image Processing Module A

    28
    IPC - Instrument Panel Cluster

PSCM - Power Steering Control Module
    17
HVAC - Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Module

    RCM - Restraints Control Module
    50
    DDM - Driver Door Module
    50
    PDM - Passenger Door Module

    1
    RTM - Radio Transceiver Module
    59
TCU - Telematic Control Unit Module
    9
    ABS - Anti-Lock Brake System
    4
    CCM - Cruise Control Module
    10
TRM / TBM - Trailer Module / Trailer Brake Control Module
    4
SODL - Side Obstacle Detection Control Module LH
    4
SODR - Side Obstacle Detection Control Module RH
    32
APIM - Accessory Protocol Interface Module (SYNC)
    66
    PCM - Powertrain Control Module
  • When we look at the Modules List tab in the FORScan spreadsheet we see that not all modules are capable of reprogramming, and we see not all are capable of OTA update
The fun in this (well, at least fun to me) is correlating my address/instruction values to those found in the module-specific tabs on the FORScan spreadsheet. That's what reveals a lot of info about what is/is not installed and what features are/are not enabled. It reveals, to a certain extent, the details of my "As Built" truck. As I find my specific instruction values in the FORScan spreadsheet I'm 'tagging' those with a unique highlight color so I can quickly search and find them in the future (gotta love what Excel can make easy when dealing with lots of data (y))

As an example of particular interest to me since I want to add the Trailer TPMS/CAM for my RV, I find that my system does have the Trailer TPMS display capability enabled and does have the AUX cam visible at speed enabled. There's a ton more interesting stuff I've already discovered in this diversionary exploration, with all those lines of data it'll take a while to get through all of them.

Anyhoo, it's something to do while waiting, an educational exercise to boot, perhaps of interest to some of the geeks here.

Back to the thread topic: I see no changes on any of my tracking screens, continue to wait for progress on that front, and as always hope the best for everyone else waiting for the Joy of Delivery! ??

EDIT: upon checking after posting I find that Order Track now shows the dread "ON HOLD" under shipping status

Oh well, so it goes ... :cautious:

Hmm, I had a 5/13 blend date. This is all I see on my modules, and no activation button in the app.

Modules are 2 to 3 days after blend. I know its torture, but keep your fingers crossed you get the built email. Modules don't necessarily mean your built and ready to ship

My blend date is today and I have 692/1781

So if this holds true then they plan on spitting out an F150 every ~1.24 minutes.

Doing the math (someone check me) mine should be built around 2:15pm local time.
I know it’s really soon, but have you seen any updates? I too, had a blend date of 5/13 and am/was 647/1781.

I think they're toying with me.....under my status it still says pending and ASN. Like they're trying to get my hopes up that it could still ship in time only to crush them at the last minute

That's still really close, you might be ok. Most of us that were told in Ford Chat about being on hold have ETA in middle of June.

I'm completely ok if those dates hold. I'm worried about being in the position of some of the other build groups. There are still guys from the 1/10 and 1/17 build week who are still on chip hold

ZIIIING!!!

Modules populated when I checked at 3:42pm EST.

Copied the modules into Excel and showing 941 rows of data. I haven't poured over @Buyer2021 's analysis yet but given the difference in the number of rows I suspect modules are added based on features so I'd have more module with the 360 camera option than say someone who does not.

Now to wait to see if 941 isn't enough to be "done-done-done" and get it shipped....

I agree, I hope that ford holding out on new custom orders helps everyone on hold. But that won't happen if the orders put in still waiting for scheduling keep them slammed till My23. Guess we'll see how it all goes.

I think the 5/2 week gave us a high and we were all excited. Still am for a new truck compared to getting one more expensive with less on it if I bailed now.

Agreed, after seeing how awesome things went for 5/2 I thought we were turning a corner. Worst part is I was originally part of that build group....
