03/15 Build Week

I’m tempted to call my dealer tomorrow and place an identical order, I think I would still receive the 2nd order first. Funny story, around my build day week of 3/15 my dealer said “you’re lucky you ordered when you did, if you had waited until January you probably wouldnt be getting a truck in ‘21”. If we only knew.....

I actually keep thinking this... Especially if they mark it with priority code 10 for scheduling. Wish I had discussed it with them earlier though, because if my 7/30 ETA holds I would imagine that a new order flying through would be pretty close to the same. Of course, there's the chance that these ETAs won't hold... So I don't know anymore. At this point, I may not take it when it comes in anyway. I had to take apart a large desk today to fit it in the back of my wife's Ford focus hatchback... And it just reminded me how annoyed I am that I don't have my truck yet.

Not sure submitting new orders will work at this point. The latest I saw was F150 isn’t scheduling new builds for the week of May 24 and the current newly scheduled build weeks are already into mid July so I don’t believe an order submitted now will get built any earlier than ~mid-July at best.

Mine order is a priority 10 and was submitted Feb 20. I didn’t get a build week at KCAP until a full month later and that build date ended up being April 22. I’m currently caught up in the KCAP shut down. It’s pure luck of the draw.

I should probably take a break from the forums for awhile... it's starting to be hard to be happy for others who are getting their trucks. I know it's Ford's fault and not theirs, but damn... If I had a time machine, I'd go back to the day my truck was built and order an identical one. Everyone would be saying "But why? You'll just have double the wait time!", and I'd just say "You'll see..."

Im to the point where Im not happy for the people who ordered theirs after our build week and got it before us all. Screw that shit. This is idiotic. Ford sure as hell better give a lot more discounts to those of us that have been waiting. I have no ETA or anything still. It was built the 19th of March.

Same story here, mine has an ETA of 4/13 also. You think they both might be at our dealerships lost in the back somewhere?

I drive by my dealership daily just in case it hasn't showed up.

Spoke to my dealer about it and they seem pretty pissed about the whole situations. They are a high volume/low markup dealer. They have no F-150s on the lot.

Just saw this on the 4/19 build week thread. If my truck that I ordered on 11/23 gets pushed to 10/31. I will be having a talk with the regional rep when I take delivery and there will be some serious concessions from Ford. That is for damn sure.

Yeah Im giving them till like late June for better news then cancelling.

Only waiting that long because of the supposed 2 week reduction at deerfield coming next week hopefully causing them to clear the backlog

I did just hear a little information from a buddy of mine that apparently the federal government is potentially going to fund a lot of plants to get the microchips going across the USA. I hope that’s true.

Well, I checked the tracker today after seeing a couple of posts about ETAs being pushed out again... I've been pushed out yet another month from 7/30 to 8/28. If that holds, I'll be at almost 9 months from my 12/10 order and 5.5 months from my 3/17 build date. What a fucking joke.

Anyone else get their ETA bumped today?

This will be great for 2024/2025 F150’s but will do practically nothing for us now. From what I have found a lot of Fords modules are using 55nm technology while most modern things are using 7nm chips. If they would upgrade their modules to work with the more advanced chips, we probably wouldn’t be in as big of a mess as we are now.

In March 2021 some overpaid pud at ford Jim Carrey I believe decided to keep the lines going and park unfinished trucks throughout Detroit without a clue how to finish them!
If this jackash would have been in charge during WWII when this country needed bombers we would all be goose stepping and wearing swastikas! They NEVER had a plan to finish our trucks, NEVER!
Oh but wait school will be out soon they can hire school kids to install chips and seats!
