My truck has shown it is in production since 2/1/22. And still no change in the status! Just had to tell someone who would understand just how this makes me feel ?
I can relate. Mine was built 1/31 is “In Production” and has been holding to the 5/22 delivery date. Hoping all of the progress for everyone else is a good sign!!

Get in line,… mine has been in production since 01/12. Their 3 days of production time has turned into over a month now.

Also been lurking for a while. Freaking out this morning because when I click on track my order (on mobile and desktop) my VIN and order number no longer show up. What's that about?

Also, I clicked on the link posted on page 12 and put my VIN in to see the file there, and it downloaded something but for the love of me I can't figure out how to open up whatever it is. It says it found a file.

I am waiting on a Platinum F150 Hybrid Power Boost, 1/31/2022 production date, 2/3/2022 blend date. It has been showing in production for quite a while now.

I noticed some funky stuff this morning too. Was showing 2/10 production date and 3/7 estimated delivery since last week, now production date is blank and estimated delivery went back to TBD. Not sure how I should feel about that.

Hi - this is all very normal with the current microchip “chip” holds. Please review the earlier posts in this thread or over in the 1/24 build group forum for more info as it is discussed at length.

The tracker goes down regularly throughout the week and is not accessible and will not show your vin or will display an error. That is just Ford refreshing or updating their analytics database from their production systems. You can try back later in the day or the following day and it will usually start loading again - sometimes with new info, sometimes not.

With a blend date of 2/3 your truck was physically built on 2/3 but is now sitting in storage waiting for microchip(s) to compete the build process.
There is a global shortage of chips impacting many industries including the automotive. Once Ford gets enough chips in for your specific model (and likely powertrain) your truck will quickly be shipped out.

Best of luck!

Last year the storage area was full of thousands of trucks... you could see the massive parking filled in google maps. I can't even imagine the logistics of trying to go find the trucks in the field and send them to get the final parts.. Not to mention your new truck is sitting out in the sun unprotected for months.

Update from my dealer today. The truck is on a railcar in Riverdale, Illinois. - Can't believe this is actually finally happening. Will probably take a few weeks to make it over to the State of Washington.

So.. question for you guys.. I originally placed my order in September for a ‘21. Signed the build sheet agreement for 78k, build then obviously moved to ‘22. In November, they said I should take off the retractable cover, and Bedliner and it might get built faster. Ok sure, fine. Now they wanna sell me the truck for 77k, but that they will add the original accessories for $2500, bringing total up to $79.5ish. Thoughts? Even though the MSRP of the trucks was raised, we still had a signed agreement. Am I being ridiculous thinking they should honor that, or am I just SOL. Any advice would be greatly appreciated Ford friends.

Shitty part is, I have zero leverage, I’m already getting it at invoice, and they could literally probably sell the truck for 85k. It’s just the whole sketchiness of it. I hate buying vehicles. Thanks for letting me vent.

I would politely tell them you have the bed liner and cover scheduled since THE DEALER recommended you remove it. Unless you removed it and they told you the cost at that time and you agreed, I would tell them to pound sand. Politely of course.

Their original response was well.. Ford raised the price of the truck for the new year.. yeah so, it wasn’t my intention or fault that I got moved to a ‘22 instead of a ‘21.
I sent them a politely stern text about an hour ago… crickets… ?

Can anyone else with a ‘21 to ‘22 upgrade comment as to whether their price increased? My understanding is that mine is tied to invoice price at delivery and not necessarily invoice at order. That is consistent with multiple other orders I’ve done with multiple dealers and manufacturers where price is quoted but subject to change of invoice price changes from the mfg. I always get my pricing quoted as % over or under invoice for that very reason. Otherwise fixed pricing becomes an opportunity for renegotiation. That said, if it was the removal of the accessories that triggered a reorder or reprice I would have real issue and push the dealer to absorb.

Update from dealer: basically, F off. Take it or leave it. (We will sell this truck either way with of without you, and most likely for much more than what you’re getting it for).

So I’m shit outta luck. In the grand scheme of things it’s just another $1500 to an 80k truck…

- first time building and buying, lesson learned.
