I wish it was optional...
Let's see, mirrors, bumpers, door handles won't work, wheels and tires...... Do you always park in a garage? Just asking, no reason...... LOL

Looks good!

How come your garage is dry walled but the spot above the door isn't?
Yes - this time of year for sure - because - it's cold and snowy out there - got about 6" last night (TWSS)
As for your drywall question - dunno man - that's how it was when we moved in 14.5 years ago and I have always had other things I cared to do more than drywall above a garage door. Although this summer I might just paint the wall there - I did that on the other side where I park the GT500 - and it looks nice :)

Dealer delivered it to me last night about 7pm - and we hung out talking for a long while. Was pouring rain and cold wind and ice starting... I almost felt bad he had to leave in my Tacoma... that's a "truck" (really a truck-let) I won't miss. (he texted me when he got that home and ranted about what a crap trap it was - the funny thing - all the things he complained about were the things my wife and I hated) ANYHOW - the Taco is in my past - lost no money on it - so - zero complaints to step up to this monster!

Overall impression : This thing is plush - legit - fluffy. Quiet. Fancy pants. Clean, crisp and "rich".

Only pic I have is in the garage after I pulled it in:

Couple of very first impressions (and I'll write a proper first time F150 owner review on the main forum and link it here later on) -
  • Seats are absurdly comfortable
  • Dash layout seems clear
  • Steering wheel heater was worth every penny in the 502A cost - IMHO - and that was just from sitting in the truck last night learning about shit - that single option was what prompted me to get the 502A - and it's worth it.
  • Truck has front parking sensors - I do not have full Blue Cruise ready package - I do have tow package with the 360 Camera
  • No "ebd lighting" - but that's irrelevant - the freaking "zone lighting" is absurdly bright - and the light that illuminates the bed from the high brake light region is 10X better than any other truck. I think the bed lighting is ONY an issue if you are covering the bed with a cover... which I will never do.
  • LOVE the Sport interior
  • LOVE the Sport lack of chrome
  • The extended cab doors freaking FOLD FLAT open back against the bed!? That's so awesome!!!
  • It's just silly comfy
  • Ohh - and this pic - I optioned wit hthe extra large gas tank:
1645189523707.png

My sales guy put the 45 miles on it driving it to me last night - when he started out he said it read over 700 miles until empty - that's absolutely AWESOME! My 2010 Tundra got like 370 per tank - BEST case at around 12MPG... if the average in the gauge is even close - this is what the crappy Taco was getting... but this has 400 horses with the 3.5 - so - like - I'm thrilled.

I just argued with the wife - it's a snow storm here right now - her car is slated for new tires at Costco on Feb 27... so... I'm driving her to work this morning... the argument was she didn't think I needed to - I want to drive this thing! Great chance to try the 4-Auto I have heard about on snow covered roads!

Probally will take a snack just to eat after I drop her off... on that awesome fold flat interior work surface :)
Damn. Looks like it fit by about 6"? That's how much room I have split between front and back. Getting to the freezer at night now means opening the garage door then walking out the front door and back into the garage to get to it.

These were the LED license plate lights I ordered from Stage 3. You reach in behind the bumper and twist out (1/4 - 1/2 twist?) the plug. Remove the glass bulb (note - I needed a small flat screwdriver to pop the glass one out.). Plug in the LED and then twist it back. Pretty simple upgrade.

https://www.stage3motorsports.com/d...-dynamics-smd24-led-license-plate-lights.html

Also - don't start by trying to pry the plastic panel out of the bumper. (Not that I tried...).?
Good call on Stage 3. Great customer service and fast delivery. You're right. Simple upgrade but it's unbelievable how Ford went with standard bulbs. Did they really think that amber color was better than LED white?

Question - has anyone seen a truck recently built that had the CCD suspension or the on board scales? Local dealer just got a lariat and a platty delivered with Feb Blend Dates but neither had the option. Curious if thats what's holding up trucks.

Ended up picking it up tonight and will post pics tomorrow in the daylight. It is so nice I was like wow.The 12 inch screen and the led headlights were the biggest improvements over my other xlt.The steering wheel is nicer too on the xlt seems to be more like leather.I hope everyone gets theirs soon I know how the wait thing is.

It appears that many Dearborn builds in the 01/24 and 01/31 build weeks are seeing progress. Some are getting delivery dates in March and others are getting “activate” notifications on their Ford Pass apps.
Initially, I thought we’d have a good build week being it took place after the holidays and things would be settling down. Now, I’m thinking we have the worst week being our trucks are parked in never never land being worked around. I know everyone’s frustrated; I just think that those that have waited longest should take precedence over later build periods. Unfortunately we have no recourse, and for me, no way of tracking whether my vehicle is progressing other than checking for updates on Ford Pass as I can no longer check the transport website.
Hoping next week will give us better news.

I don't think we're in a worse situation than 1/24 or 1/31 build weeks. Several of us in 1/10 week had the 'Activate Vehicle' button show up in FordPass app over the last week but to be fair no one really knows for sure if that indicates any progress with our trucks. IMO everyone with build week after 1/03 is in the same boat at this point. All we can do it wait

I’m from the 1/17. We aren’t seeing much, and I’ve get to get an activate button show up

You missed my point about leaving it out. All those things will color match my truck. Except for the door handles. I don't have the proximity fobs. Looks really good though! Like your color choice.

Theres a lot more room than the pic looks. Probably a foot plus in front between the bumper and the wall and about a foot from rear bumper to the door when down. When I was sizing the truck I could have done the super crew with the 6.5 bed… but didn’t want the hassles around town. But it would fit here.
one thing that’s amazing to me is this truck is physically smaller than the 2010 Tundra I had. It’s easier to get into the garage door opening and have like 6” easy on each side between mirror and door. It’s also shorter in the garage.
when in it tho the interior feels bigger…. But driving it - it doesn’t feel like a truck at all.
it’s pretty amazing

have used the remote start, seat warmer, steering wheel heat up a bunch of times. As a matter of fact first “night out” with it Friday we went to see a movie and during the credits I remote started with the fordpass app and when we got to the truck (was 16 out) and got in - my wife turns to me and goes “this thing is great”

Wish I could agree with you but there are people in the 01/31 build week that have already gotten their trucks. I don’t think they are in the same boat.
