No worries, and I'm grateful for your help. To answer your question, I'm not sure if that's possible with Forscan. If it is, I don't know how to do it.
I apologize if I sound like a total idiot here, but you're talking a little above my level. As far as temps go, the only actual number I can see is where I have the wheel set to 38* C. It goes from 35-39. If I go into the As Built data, then that's represented by a letter.
Ok I'm at my wits' end here. I have a 2023 F-150 XLT 302A. Back in November of 2024 I added a heated steering wheel. I replaced the SCCM (ML3Z-3F79Z-BB), the steering wheel (ML3Z-3600-RA), ran the power, and made all the necessary changes in Forscan. I didn't replace the HVAC controls. Instead I...
I tried this today. I'm getting power to the SCCM, but not through the SCCM. There was no power where the wheel plugs into the clock spring so I took the clock spring off the SCCM and checked where the power goes from the SCCM into the clock spring and there is no power there. So the problem is...
Update on my failed heated wheel. I've now replaced the SCCM (both the SCCM and the clock spring) and verified all settings are correct, but it still doesn't work. I reset all DTC's, cranked the truck and let it run a couple of minutes, shut it down and reconnected Forscan. I'm still getting the...
I bought mine for $202. Now everywhere I look they are $280+. Where are you seeing them for $180?
For clarification I'm referring to the entire SCCM assembly, not just a clock spring. I have an XLT so I had to install the whole assembly. The problem I have now is I don't know which part of it...
I added a heated steering wheel back in November and posted about it here. In February it quit working with a DTC that there was an electronic failure in the SCCM. I sent it back to Tasca (where I bought it from) since the part supposedly had a one year warranty. It took several weeks, but they...
I removed the housing from the steering column and double checked all my connections there and where the power wire plugs into the BCM as well. Everything appears solid. I also double checked all my settings in Forscan and nothing has changed. I was fortunate enough today to be able to meet up...
I removed mine today. I haven't read this entire thread, but there was a slight difference between mine and the one in the OP. The moving portion of the dam was attached with three 7MM bolts on each side, and the motors were attached with three 13MM bolts on each side. There were no torx bolts...
Unfortunately I can't answer that question as I had never enabled the Super Duty side card. Please post back with the results of whatever method you try.
I installed a heated steering wheel in my truck today. My truck is also a 2023 XLT 302A, but I did a couple of things differently, which will be noted in red below. I did not install new HVAC controls. I added a soft button, but I did not enable the Super Duty climate side card.
I was dreading...
