I just had my gateway module replaced. Those were back ordered also.
Does not being able to update the APIM software necessarily mean that the APIM is bad and in need of replacing?
I'm borderline ready to jump off a cliff.
I don't get it. I performed the "Module Update Repair" and it all went fine.
I've downloaded the 'APIM - SYNC Module [APIM] Software Update' from the FDRS App onto three separate thumb drives, formatting each to eXfat. Sometimes they are detected by...
They are new. They were all read by my truck the first couple of times i inserted them but then and i kept reformatting each and installing the APIM software from FDRS they started saying "This USB not supported"
Only one drive still reads but after the it says "System Updating..." it changes...
Frustrated and confused,
I ran the software repair update on my truck through FDRS and everything went fine.
when I got to the SYNC Module (APIM) Software update, and download the software onto an eXfat formatted USB drive and plugged it into the port on the truck, it reads it and starts...
I too am waiting for a new gateway module. I originally took my truck in back in December because I was not getting any OTA updates, I could not activate the “automatic updates” button in settings, my zone lighting was not working and was all grayed out
It turns out that I have a bad gateway...
I have a heavy foot (lead foot). So I guess it’s appropriate that I chose this color.
for city driving I get about 13.4 ( sometimes 12.9 cuz I like to punch it)
highway I get about 18.9-19.7 depending on how I drive Margot. She would get more if I really focused on it.
I took my truck to the dealer today as they texted me and said the the cable were in.
they said that after trying to do the TSB update for a few hours, they kept getting error messages and weren’t able to do the update.
Has anyone encountered this?
I read on a previous post that someone had...
Ford “HELP”!!!
I took my truck to the dealer last week on Thursday for the TSB update fix and they told me that they couldn’t perform the update because they needed 2 special cables that they didn’t have on hand and needed to order them through their parts department. I called today and the...

I have the same tires and rims on my ‘21 XLT with the Falcon Sport Tow/Haul Leveling Shocks. I love the ride and definitely feels solid and fully grounded.
Great choice.
Take a look at the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T. I swapped my ugly plain stock tires with these and are great. Low noise and perform well in rain. No complaints thus far. Have had them since September.
Thanks.
Yes f you go with the Husky liners and you have fit issues with the rear shocks you can always do some trimming to the liner.
I love the ride over factory suspension. No regrets and rides smooth.
As of yet I have not towed anything. Still looking around for a good travel trailer.
My truck is riding on the factory 20” sport rims. I went with Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T tires at 295/60R20. These tires are quite aggressive with large knobs on side wall. I have the Falcon Sport Tow/Haul leveling shocks. With the width of the factory rims and the width of the tires , I get...
20” stock wheels
Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T tires
295/60R20
Falcon Tow/Haul Sport Leveling Shocks
No rub in the front
The rears rub on the extra reservoir dampening adjustment knob at flex point
I installed the Falcon Sport Tow/Haul shocks and that leveled the truck. They come with a 1”, 1.5”, and 2” height clip ring. You can adjust to whatever height you want, but from the manufacturer it comes at the 2” level setting.
Not that I know of. The ones I got are rated up to 2020 but they fit fine with no issues. The web site lists them as 2015+

The Falcons are great. I can’t stand the floaty/wave motion and bounce of stock suspension so the falcons eliminate that. They give you a slightly stiffer ride than stock. I’m also planning on getting a travel trailer so with my max tow pkg the Falcons will help with sag.
