Forscan - Disable Auto Start/Stop on 2024

I installed the 4D Tech ass jumper. It works flawlessly and is easy to install (behind glove box). I would still love to do this through Forscan when it's available though. I hate the light being on all the time.

Hello,

In latest models Ford blocked some configuration abilities, to will not let to people to change/disable it.

This was in response to my using every possible method (easy, hex, etc.) that I could find in an attempt to get ASS to be disabled through FORScan. I guess I will be giving one of those hardware donlges a chance now. Very annoyed that this is the answer. Obviously Ford is going out of their way to take these option(s) away from us and for what? I get that I can click the button, but after running my 2017 with the modified setting, I got used to not having to. If Ford would make it where the daggum thing would just remember the last setting that would be acceptable to me too! The heated/cooled seats remember THEIR last setting. Why can't this?!

Anyway...there you go. If you are looking to disable ASS, the best option is to save the money on the on the OBD scanner and just get the 4D tech or Autostop Eliminator. Hope this helps someone to keep hair on their head.

ETA: I have a MY24 F150 Lariat SCREW Cab that has a manufacture date code of 0724.

Livingitup will probably be doing alot with the 2024+ trucks soon. His current truck is a 2021, but I think he may be looking at a 2025? It will be a while before we get the answers we want, but we'll probably have them within a year. I got the 4D and it works fine, and it was simple to install. It remembers the last setting, but I can't stand that blaring yellow light. I took a tiny piece of black electrical tape and covered the glowing letters up. You can't even tell it's there. By the way, a few of the Forscan mods are working fine for my 2024 King Ranch. Bambi mode works right, walk away lock works, added turn signal flashes works, cameras at speed works, and the camera black box removal works perfectly. It's prett cool to look behind you at 80 mph with no black box there. The one thing I'm missing that I've done to my last two trucks, is turn the seat belt dings off. My daughter and grandchildren live in my neighborhood, about .2 miles miles from me, and I hate buckling up just to stop that annoying DING!

Does the Autostop Eliminator fit through the hole where the switches mount? From the pics, it doesn't look like there's room to put the module behind the dash anywhere.

The 4D ASS works great and fits easily behind the lower glove box.

Super easy 5 minute install behind the glove box. I put a tiny bit of black tape over the OFF light on the ASS button which blends in nicely, can’t even tell. When I start the truck I get a message in the gauge cluster that ASS has been turned off.

Vans and a few other 24s you can't adjust tire size to correct speedo via forscan.. not sure the reason.
My dealer is having to use fdrs to adjust the parameters and it's not a free deal
I bet superduties and f150s are next

I just installed this yesterday on my 24 RCSB. Only driven it once since then, but it seems to be great.

I like that I didn't have remove trim pieces to install it. Very, very easy install. My wife cam out to see what I was doing and I was already done after 3 or 4 minutes. Lining up the glove box was harder than the install.

Read on another blog that they were able to trick the BMS into keeping the A.s.s. Deactivated.

The computer thinks the little wire has been detached from the battery.

for the seatbelt if you go to the easy settings you can disable one of the chimes and it works for the 24. I am trying to remember which one. I did a trial and error and finally found the correct one. It is not the individual ones but an overall one that worked for me.

Yup the annoying seatbelt chimes can be easily turned off in the settings. I did this with mine and it is a huge improvement.
