I recently received an OTA software update around 5/26/25 for enhanced power efficiency. It specifically stated Transfer Case Control Module, TCCM-25.E for the update in my Ford Pass App. Shortly after this update, I turned my truck on to see a Oil Change Required indicator and when I went to my oil life screen, I saw it starting 0% oil life. This was pretty alarming at first since I'm very on top of my oil change maintenance/milage intervals. When I looked back at my records, it had only been 5 months and ~4000 miles ago, so I knew something was off and likely caused from the recent software update. It frustrated me to have to reset the oil life indicator since I would lose an accurate reading but proceed to do so to eliminate the Oil Change Required warning indicator that appears on each truck startup. Things seemed ok for maybe a day or two but then the warning indicator reappeared. I again reset my oil life indicator to only have it come back again the next day. It seems like there is no way to fix this issue.
I've done a bunch of searching online without much luck for my specific issue. What I have seen really irritates me. It seems like Ford doesn't really have a fix or priority to address this issue and I'm now stuck having to dismiss this message everytime I get in my truck. This message and the seatbelt message are both simple but extremely annoying messages to have to hit ok on each start up.
I'm hoping others on this forum have experienced this problem and have a fix. If not, I hope this post gets a lot of attention to get it in front of the right eyes at Ford to address quickly.
Thanks in advance
