My 2025 started doing this same tick right after the recall software update for the instrument cluster. Has been back to Ford dealer once and they have no idea. Like others have said, it’s only in the first 5-10 minutes of operation and is coming from behind the instrument cluster and can be heard outside truck, even when off. It is driving me crazy on a brand new truck that didn’t have this issue when I bought it! Video of the issue from outside the truck. Truck is not running, I just open the drivers door and it will make the ticktick sound about 15 seconds after. I believe that it is from that brake area but can’t pinpoint it. Sorry about the rain background noise.

I am starting to wonder if there is any correlation between the fob and this sound? Oddly enough, I have only noticed the sound after starting the truck and just the initial driving. Although, I have seen postings of folks sitting in the truck with the truck OFF and hearing the chirp sound. Today, I was walking by the truck on the driver’s side and heard the chirp. The fob was in my pocket. Truck was off, parked, unoccupied. Maybe there is some WiFi, Bluetooth communication between the fob and the truck’s detection system??? I have walked around and near the truck a pile of times with no fob on me and have heard nothing?

Yea you could be onto something because I noticed it with the fob in my pocket and having the hood open when I was about to change the oil. I don’t know…hopefully Ford takes note of this and can come up with a fix.

I have yet to hear it on my 25 tremor… But then again, I’m about half deaf, which maybe isn’t a bad thing, lol!

Nothing so far. Taking truck in, in a few weeks for another issue and going to ask about this while there.
When do you take your truck in?

Nothing useful to add but I have this same sound, only seems to happen in the first few minutes of a drive. My truck already had the brake booster update installed when I bought it. 25 PB with the standard key(not IA)

Called a few dealers. No one has any idea or has even heard of the issue. Pretty frustrating with a new truck...

Same sound here sounds like an Airtag wtih a low battery (not exactly but similar) 2025 R heard it from 30 miles at 900 miles now. Hope we learn what causes it, It doesnt bug me enough to drop it off at the dealer and have them tell me I am crazy.

From a Ford Facebook group online:

"I have had my Tremor since April. In July, I had the two manufacturer recalls completed, that I assume the trucks sold after mine already had “fixed” before delivery. Well, this noise started for me as soon as I picked it up. In early October, I went to a Ford Owner event and was able to speak with the Ford Engineers about my experience with my truck. When I mentioned this clicking or chirping noise, one of the engineers immediately knew what I was talking about. That’s the good news. The bad news is that they don’t have a fix for it. I was told it did in fact have something to do with the recall in that the computer was calibrating whatever it was they fixed. So, unfortunately I wouldn’t expect a “fix” anytime soon."

So...might not even be worth taking it to the dealer. Sounds like this is actually happening on any Ford vehicle with the recall update on the electronic brake booster (Expeditions, Broncos, F-150s, etc)

Don’t let Ford off the hook that easy! Maybe if everyone shows up and demands a fix, they will actually do something about it. Completely unacceptable that they fixed one problem only to create another.

Definitely sucks, but it sounds like this is a known issue. I'd bet there will be a fix, but it may be a while.

Did a deep dive tonight on this. It’s happening on all sorts of Ford’s (F150, Bronco, Ranger, Expedition, etc). Threads about this all over the internet. Unfortunately not a single person has had any luck with a fix at a dealer. Dealers are just saying it is normal. Will likely just give this some time and maybe have them take a look when I bring it in for first service. Don’t want it sitting down there for multiple days just for them to do nothing.
