What diameter tires do people get to put on a truck with a Ridetech lowering kit? I say diameter because I have wider than stock wheels so I need a tire that is around 12 inches wide. My current 33x12 r20 rough terrain tires rub front and back with the offset wheel scrub radius.

I know I still need to go up about an inch in the front to level it out. That will probably help with the rubbing.

I think it looks cool with these tires but don't really want to cut anything

this is 305/45r22, so just under a 33, on a 9.5 +20 offset, and it barely clears the rear crash bar. if your wheel sticks out more, it rubs for sure... 305/40r22 might be better, or get rid of the crash bars

Nice set up. Fills the wheel wells very nicely.

Most of what we I’ve seen are 32 or lower. Size wise you’re looking at a 305/50R20 for 32” or 305/55R20 for 33”. I think 99% run street tires, never seen a lowered All Terrain setup. Lowering kind of defeats the purpose of AT and has to ride like crap with the Ridetech spring rates and damping.

To go a step further they aren't A/T tires the are R/T which is the newer stage between A/T and M/T for Rough Terrain.

I will see if I can find some 32" tires. But it will take a while since I spend 2000 on these not too long ago. I should see if I can trade them in or something.

Or maybe I should trim the fenders and mold the inner part of the flares to be out of the way of where the tire moves. I do have the issue where the passenger side rear pokes out a little bit more than the drivers side. Ford must not put the spring perches on centered.

Thanks!
If you're talking about rear axle, you have some room for adjustment with the ride tech brackets. With the back up in the air, loosen the shocks and u-bolts, that allows you to shift it side to side a tiny bit. Half inch adjustment maybe, but it helped a lot on mine. I maxed it out to the left and it's way better.

Why do you think it would ride like crap?
Factory rear leaf springs with adjustable shocks
Front coilover springs are selected based on 4wd or not due to weight and have has adjustable shocks also.

Based on personal experience and perhaps that’s tainted because of the utterly crap factory supplied Pirelli ATS (Bull Shit All Terrain) tires that came with the truck. The stiff (unadjustable) compression damping and the tires construction gives a quite unpleasant buckboard type ride. The shock is unable to control the tire in some rough road situations. I’ve adjusted the rebound as much as I can to compensate but it’s still not even close to perfect. It could quite possibly be this specific tire so I suppose I shouldn’t throw the entire AT tire type under the bus. I will be swapping these out with a street tire, probably a UHP all weather / summer tire shortly.

But I still stand by my belief that truck lowering, with the associated stiffer, less compliant suspension and All/Mud Terrain tires are completely contradictory. You end up with the worst of both worlds.

Yeah the off-road tire is probably a lot heavier than a compatible size street tire. I know my wheel tire combination is super heavy.
