This isn’t the normal clunk or clank. Truly clueless as to what it could be. Especially since the sound seems to come and go. Like 70/30. I haven’t been able to duplicate the sound when I have an extra set of eyes.

In the video I have my phone sitting on top of the driver side front tire as I’m rocking the truck side to side from the bed.

Just recently swapped out OEM parts for BDS UCA, Icon 2.5 coilovers, and Icon rear shocks. Two days later installed 315/70r17’s. Three days later husky rear wheel liners. The day after the liners (I know it’s not them but still weird lol) is when I started noticing the sound pulling out of the driveway. Makes me want to think possibly UCA or sway bar is the culprit.

I had the very same thing happen with the Husky liners on mine. Check the passenger side rear wheel liner Chances are it's rubbing against the shock housing when the suspension travels. There's a rounded corner that sits very close to the passener shock. If so get a pair of tin snips and trim the corner off by the shock. About a 20 second fix.

Failing that might recheck all the mounting bolts for everything to make sure it's all properly torqued. Can spray some dry silicone lubricant in all the shock/strut bushings as well since these can make noise. Last thing it can be is a bad shock/strut and is making noise as fluid passes through the internal valving system. This is rare but can happen.

Make sure the shock bolts are tight. I had a similar problem

Does it make noise while turning the wheel like out of an inclined driveway or is rocking side to side the only way you manipulate it?

I laughed so hard at this. When I originally was going through process of elimination in my head, that was the last change I did (Friday evening) before driving the truck (Saturday morning) again. No way that’s the noise, seemed so trivial.

Driver side
Passenger side

I’m out at work and have zero cutting tools. But judging by what appears to be wear marks, I think they might be culprit!

With the wheel turned coming out. But the driveway is one of those, idk how to describe it but “disconnected” from the street styles. So the truck rocks when coming in or out. It does almost sound like when your tie rods are shot and cutting the wheel though but couldn’t duplicate it that way!

Got it. My next step would be to have someone rock the truck while your under it and feel around CAREFULLY and feel for vibrations and you can pinpoint it that way. Are the new upper ball joints greaseable??

Yes. I was wondering if I didn’t give them enough or grease was just funky. I greased them on the install. But, it was Mystik JT-6 (the rig hands use on the rig) that had been in my buddies gun for however long. My own due diligence came up with different answers on what type is recommended. So I picked up a tube of moly-fort gray on my way west. Pumped about 10 more shots of that in each. No f idea how much they really need. Haven’t left location yet and of course rn with the truck out there in the celiche, makes zero noise rocking side to side.

Of course that’s always how it works. 😂😂 you should be able to see the bushing surrounding the ball joint, should fill until you see it start to expand. Honestly, grease is grease.

That's almost identical to how it lined up on mine and made a god awful racket. Snip snip no more noise.

Not the liners.. def something suspension on passenger side. Can’t pin point it but the harder the travel the louder the noise and in sync. Trying to spray bushings now to see if (UCA, LCA) it temporarily stops. When I first caught weight with the jack it squealed on me.

Definately sounds like a ball joint to me. You can get a needle tip and pierce the bushing slightly and put some more grease in there!
