I went through this when I bought my F150 as I was looking at one that was a demo. At least with Ford the warranty start is based on the in service date, so if the truck was used as a demo starting in April then 6 months of the warranty would already be gone

Anything is possible with enough time and money. The real question should be is it worth it to you? Whatever dollar/time estimate you have in your head will likely be double to triple in reality. I've done similar projects and found that to be consistent.
