I gave it a shot myself and spoke with the director of sales at the dealership and wow, it worked! He was able to approve the offer and apply to my truck. I think because we're in the "Fall chip hold" group, Ford gave them a way to either transfer my previous incentives on my original order back in June OR apply the 1,000 off and the zero percent for 72 months offer for a new truck that was a dealer order and set to arrive within the next couple of weeks. In my case, the current, zero percent was a much better offer over the life of the loan compared to the previous "private" offer Ford offered me.

For any of you wanting to take advantage of the financing special, please call your dealership and speak with someone in management. It ends today and you may have a good chance of getting it approved.

Hey, whether your lucky enough to have an X Plan or like me, and the poors, take whatever discount you can get. Seriously though, the current offer SHOULD be the zero percent financing and the $1000 off MSRP.

You can take me off this list as I'm going rogue and buying a dealer-ordered truck off the lot. My original order is still in chip-hold and no telling when it will actually ship.

It's amazing how we all get a different story from our dealers. I just spoke with the Sales Manager and he said because I have a vin he could sell me the truck under the 0% but it does not change the fact that it's on-chip hold It may not be here for months and it may have issues when it arrives. I was not willing to take that chance.

Amazing is right. Here is what the GM just emailed me "You can only lock in the rebates based off the month you ordered and the month it arrives. Thank you!"

So I can't lock in the 0% for 72 months because it has not arrived even though it's supposed to be here on 9/14 (chip hold likely going to push that).

I love doing my weekly check of dealer inventory near me....my dealer has a truck on his lot that he ordered after mine, was built 2 days after mine, shipped a few days later, and was received on 9/1. I am making my frustrated face right now......

Yeah it’s frustrating!! Ford did the ole bait and switch. Built way more stock units vs retail in the month of august. Dealers must have gotten pissed without any inventory so since ford already had retail orders why not build stock ones instead. I checked near me and so many stock platinums were built but not mine.

Sounds wild, but now I am considering putting in a new retail order to pickup a few options I wish I had added to the original build, and to lock-in the 0%/72mo - all this pending my dealership is still offering invoice pricing on retail orders. Will know more tomorrow, hopefully.

Well today was my day. Extremely happy so far. Many tiny scratches from the transport. And FordPass isn’t cooperating although it’s tracking my journeys. Very pleased with the ride and the adaptive cruise. Also who ever said unleashed was junk is full of sh**.

Also I was offered 0% for 60 and 72 or 1000 trade assist. All offers ended today

Aye. So, as an attempt to lock an order in at 0%, I submitted a web order to my dealer. Hopefully that will suffice or provide justification, at least.

Shoulda done this months ago. With winter on the horizon, my need for the truck is reduced. If the rate locks-in and dealer honors the invoice pricing, I'm headed back to square one.

Just feels wrong having multiple retail orders in but, I know some guys have done it. Probably a better deal for the dealer in the long run since they can sell my first order at dealer MSRP instead of original invoice.
