Need some advice here. I know we all want different options, colors, trims etc when it comes to our trucks, but looking for some outsiders opinions from this group. Purely subjective, no right or wrong. I ordered my 402a Tremor on 6/21 pretty much loaded up ( no torsen, removed auto start/stop). My trucks in the past have never seen the off road and this one will be no different. I just feel like overall the tremor checks a lot of boxes for me in both functionality and aesthetics. Ideally If I could pick a few options from each trim level and build the perfect truck that would be ideal in a dream world, ha! Anyways, other than seeing some 2021’s on the road, yesterday was the first day I was up and close with one. Ended up stopping by my dealer and took a platinum powerboost for a spin. Immediately was super impressed by the interior. I have a 19 limited and this felt like miles above that. I enjoy technology, so that’s a given with everything that’s new this model year, but even the seats just felt so much nicer and comfortable. My gripe with the platinum though is the chrome and the wheels. I could fairly easily swap the mirror caps and door handles to body color, but new wheels would obviously add a hefty amount overall. If we had build dates on our tremors I’d probably not be feeling so impatient, but patience is not my forte. I’ve watched my 19 limited probably go from $60k on the trade in down to about $55 now. One of the main reasons I decided to do this was because of the strong trades and getting my dealer to agree to $1k under MSRP. Felt like the best of both worlds. My fear now if this drags out for us, is that trade values may continue to fall if new inventory supplies do continue to gradually get better. My impatient side says just go get a truck now, while the smart thing is probably to wait for what I ordered. Buying a $70k+ platinum and immediately having/wanting to change a few things probably isn’t the smartest either…looking for some opinions if anyone is bored enough to offer them!

If I wasn't interested the Torsen I wouldn't go with a Tremor. I would order a different trim with a max tow package, go with a level kit, and tires and maybe the FX4 . Other Trims also give more color options. As for the falling trade prices, my feeling is that we maybe able to help offset them with better incentives as the inventory improves at dealers. Until the inventory improves I don't think we will see used trade in prices fall very much. I feel Its all supply and demand on both sides. Either way as the clock keeps ticking use it to your advantage and keep budgeting for your new Truck.

Well I'm drinkin' on a Saturday evening, trying to stay positive, online window shoppin, and planning my build. I wont be changing for a XLT, Lariat, Platinum, etc, life is too short to drive boring ass cars with chrome wheels/trim - I'd rather spend money on performance and giggles.
2" leveling kit. Intake. Inlet Pipes. Mid Pipe. Tune. On paper, bumps from 400hp/510 ftlbs to 495hp, 603ftlbs. $3K all in. Think it'd make a hell of a Tremor. Please feel free to critique and share your thoughts, itd be something new to talk about. I drove my neighbors 2019 Raptor today switching back and forth between stock and stage 4 with the AFE tune, it was absolutely noticeable, solid half a second 0-60 and downshifts were MEAN.

Golf17, I managed to get a minimum trade in, in writing, from the GM, when I ordered, but I feel you. As stated by the good looking dude above, I feel what we COULD lose in trade SHOULD be offset in rebates. Itll all come down to 2-3K, and for that price I'm sticking to the Tremor ordered EXACTLY as I want. Thats 2-3 months of payments, I'll eat it for what I want. Just my opinion.

So, do you golf and end on hole 17 or are you a VW golf fan?

I feel the same as @BA73 … I don’t switch cars often though. I have a great ‘08 with not even 110k miles. So a new one is a special one. I say if you can (and do t have a NEED for the truck) wait and get exactly what you want vs. compromising with some dealer stock.

hah, our old house was on the 17th hole of a little par 3 course. But anyways, I like you’re thinking there, appreciate it. I’m probably over thinking it with each week that passes and we go unscheduled. Good work on getting a min trade value though, might need to try and see if my guys are willing to do that after the fact.

I'm a horrible golfer man. I played college football, two torn ACLs, snapped Tib & Fib in my right leg, torn pec, torn rotator cuff. I'm like a fatter, more broken, Charles Barkley trying to golf. Its just not pretty.

But living in AZ and respecting the legends, this is my dog, Sir Charles Bark-ley. Chuck for short.

Yeah, this thread has gotten so stale were moving to dog pics. ;)

Sounds like you've been through the ringer as well! Did you play for ASU? Yea used to be a decent hack at golf, then I had three kids who are all currently 4 or under, so my clubs and any other hobbies have become dust collectors. This truck will be Dad's toy, with three car seats in the back seat of course...and yea I think this forum has officially run out of much to talk about it. Anybody else looking in on this forum is probably shaking their head..

I played at UofA, but my wife played softball at ASU. House divided. We don't talk to each other some weeks of the year. I have cousins who payed at ASU, Utah, Oregon State, and Washington, so we're a pac-12 family for sure (Pac-10 when I played).

Congrats on the little ones man, no kids here, just 4-legged friends.

So anyone else planning to mod their Tremor?

Yup. Engine power is fine for what I do but I'm looking at a 2 inch lift/ moderate level with upgraded suspension (probably dsc) sliders, winch, 35s while maintaining scrub radius. Reworked breather tubes, pfe wrap and bringing my wife and dogs on my overlanding trips. If this ends up being a bust, it'll be the f350 tremor with Carli, blower and a bunch more mods

I'll probably throw a level kit on at the very least, maybe a 2" lift. Depending on how it's looking in person when it eventually comes lol.
I'll add in a bed rack too so I can start adding stuff to make it an overland rig for hunting. Honestly with how many electronics are on this is just seems like a pain to make any major changes and then have to recalibrate sensors and what not so I might leave it stock for a bit.

Been lurking here for a few weeks and just as frustrated as everyone... This will be my first truck ever, been a car guy my whole life, in fact, I just sold my low milage 2019 Shelby 350 because I'm at a point in life that I need a truck more than a garage queen. Having said that, I have a 402A in Iconic, loaded up, minus torsion and start/stop on order since 7/6. Patience is not my forte either. My wife is sick of hearing me talk about trucks. I have driven a 21 platinum, a 21 Lariet and a 21 Roush 302A. I just passed on a loaded Lariet in Lightning Blue, because the color... is not me. Comfort, having lower back issues is important, and I found the Platinum and Lariet seats had very hard leather and were not too comfortable. The Roush leather, was incredibly supple and very comfy seats. Plus it's leveled and has the Coyote V8 i wish came as an option in the Tremor. Now, I know they're just loaded up, overpriced 302A's, however, compared to what's going on with Ford's sad state of production, there's quite a few available.... now....and some places are discounting them thousands. For what I'm going to need/like in a truck, I may make compromises and forfeit my retail order and go a different way. I volley back and forth nightly... so I feel your pain.

Excellent Choice. Your lucky to have found one. The one I built online came it at just a hair over 80,000. I added the diesel option the winch option and a few other options. It looks like I'm going to have dream a little longer. Please post some pics and a review
