When an OTA is failing due to a bad or low changed battery, it will specifically tell you that is the reason it is failing.

Could someone look my VIN up? Also no updates since June 2024..
Truck was delivered from the factory to Canada, re-imported to the US a few years ago, not sure if that matters for the talk of being banned for looking up non-US VINs

Vehicle still shows as a Canadian VIN, so I cannot risk running it in FDRS.
I can also tell you the vehicle is getting sent updates, but they are not going through. The truck is not pinging the server back to accept it. You can try disconnecting the negative cable from the 12v battery for 20 minutes to reset the modules to see if that works to let it go through.
The other thing is the country code in the TCU is still set for Canada. The vehicle seems to be talking to the cloud, but the country code is not correct for a vehicle in the US. I don't think that is the reason the OTA is not going through, but if you have FORScan, I can tell you where to change it to the US.

Well, updated TCU and pulled the battery for 30 minutes, lets see if my luck changes.

When I go to the update screen it seems to refresh, then just shows my automatic update toggle/schedule and a grayed out 'update now' button, haven't seen the pending update icon pop up yet.

Anyone game to check my VIN? I was able to get OTA’s after I pulled battery negatives, but since then I have the window bounce back that is driving me insane and wanted to see if the OTA/update for the bounce back is an option on the truck (24 PB). Might break down for a mongoose and FRDS if there are a handful of updates left.

Edit: There is a procedure you can do to fix that, though. I don't remember how to do it, but I'm pretty sure there are youtube videos showing how to reprogram the windows from the bounce-back issue.

To reprogram the window switch. Lower the window, then press and hold the button in the down position for 2 seconds. Now manually bring the window to the top position. Once there let go of the switch. Then hold the switch in the up position for 2 seconds. It doesn’t always work the first time you may have to try it a couple of times to "take"
There is a video on this in the online owners manual, in the trucks SYNC system on your dash. Under owners manual, then search windows.

Yeah I’ve tried that multiple times. I’m guessing the bounce back while trying to reset is what’s screwing me here. Tried YouTube videos, tried the manual, tried resetting the DDM module in Forscan just for the hell of it as well.
If I inch my window up while trying to reset and then hold it for 2 seconds once it’s up, it’s doing the bounce back.

Just tried to reset again because it’s a damn window and it should roll up and stay up.
This time when it bounced back half way I would just roll it up and hold it, it would bounce back half way and I would roll it up and hold it. Did that maybe 5 or 6 times in a row and it looks like it might have actually reset it.
Doesn’t bounce back now when it auto rolls up.

Hello. Wondering if anyone could check updates on my 21 f150. Vin: 1FTFW1ED5MFB84090. My sync 4 screen has the blanked out version number, and I cannot turn on auto updates. I just had some of the powertrain modules updated for warranty work, the dealer won't cover anything else. Thank you
