The 2441DS is about 10k higher, and I attribute most of that to the full body paint vs vinyl stickers. I did a little research and got estimates of 10.5k to fully wrap, and 18k for a full body solid color paint job. I actually had a handshake agreement for the Odyssey and was planning to get it wrapped and black out the chrome, but the “manager” came out and said he needed another thousand to make it work. I retrieved my drivers license and credit card I was using to place a hold on the vehicle and my wife and our two dogs got back in our PowerBoost and left.

Dude called me the next day, but I’m waiting now and looking elsewhere lol.

Ha! Placed a contract on a house I was going to buy a month or so ago... It had no garage at all which meant I would have to build one...

Deducted the price of the garage and wanted 14 days for a survey and time to speak to the city re approvals.... Seller told us to get lost or pay full ask.... so we walked....

It's still on the market for less now than what we offered.... because it has no garage.... Their realtor approached us and told us they would agree to our original price..... but we'd already moved on..

Yes the RV can be taken care of by Ford as long as they have room for it in their maintenance bays. There are Ford large vehicle maintenance facilities if it’s too big for the dealer. Just did the research by calling my service advisor lol.
Most times, I see RV's sitting at the commercial truck service centers. I am guessing they have the bigger bays and drive over service pits.

Floor plan comes first. My wife loves the bathroom. I have a few deal breakers. I want a 450 chassis, fiberglass roof, vacuum bonded composite sides, one piece fiberglass front cap, and we need to reach the fridge, the bathroom, and a bed without extending the slides. Checks those boxes, and then adds full body paint, a 4.5kW inverter/generator with variable RPM, and a decent suspension package. “EZ-Ride” comes with Firestone rear air bags, a Hellwig rear sway bar, and Bilstein shocks all around.
Not sure if dual pane windows have come across your item list, but we want them in our next camper. The single panes in our Imagine sweat when it is cold outside and we run any heat, which is basically any decent camping weather.

I would've walked, too. That's not a small purchase, and with the economy still recovering and stagnant interest rates, they nickel & dimes you over $1k?! Piss off. I bet he comes back a bit lower on out-the-door soon ?

Not till you said something! ?

After researching this morning, dual pane windows are pretty elusive in the under 28’ class C RV space. Some Sprinter models come with them, but my wife felt claustrophobic in them. We walked up the stairs into a 27’ class C and she said yes! I know they are dated and yesterday looking, but I like the 7.3L and Ford, and she likes the space ?

The choices are frameless vs sliding. I would have to special order for dual pane unfortunately. I’m going to keep looking though.

Great tips! Thanks ?
Perhaps my EGO blower might be handy for quick drying the slide toppers before closing up? Space is a premium but caring for it properly is key. ??‍♂
I’ve never had to do that as it just rolls off the front but when ice gets in them you have to knock it out which sucks.

Oh, they roll from the front as the slide retracts. Lots to learn obviously. Thanks!

Hey @UGADawg96, how about this to combat moisture on the windows?

No idea, sorry
I’m just thinking what if while trying to remove excess moisture out of the RV in cooler weather, we warm the windows such that condensation doesn’t form readily?

A dehumidifier and heat strips on the windows?

You're in Orlando and we're in JAX, so maybe you've experienced this. Our original single pane builder's grade windows (House built in 2006) sweated every night in winter under 50* at night with the heat on inside. Every morning there would be puddles of water in the window sills. We tried dehumidifiers, damprid, and all kinds of mitigation techniques. Nothing worked. When we replaced them a few years ago, we went with triple pane and insulated casings. That was the only solution and it worked.

Absolutely insulated double or triple pane windows work best. I’m thinking of a work around like we do for our non double paned rear window in vehicles.

If we heat the windows condensation won’t as readily form. I’m just thinking out loud and looking for solutions in case double paned windows aren’t available at my size and price point.
