Yeah I definitely don't have all those wires. I have the Gray plug but only 3 wires. Hooked to the grey plug is another connector that goes to the light. If Ford was simplifying harnesses on the new model years (like was mentioned in the press), you'd think they would all be the same. What else is odd is the workshop manual shows the connector being terminated with all the wires. I'll remove the light again tomorrow and upload a Pic.
Yeah I would look into it again. I’m also going to remove the 3rd brake light of mine and take a look too. Will post a picture and update as well.

Great write up. I have a 2024 F150 LARIAT w/ 360 Cams, but no CHMSL Camera. I checked my C913 connector clipped to the roof, behind the light and it only has 3 wires pinned out. My IPMA has the green and brown connectors too. I should be able to pin out the remaining wires from the IPMA to the C913 connector, right?
Yes. You can add the wiring and then turn it on in the IPMA and APIM with forscan.

@Tlusk7 & @Jesse-Infotainment would you know what the difference is in the camera part # LJ8Z-19G490-A vs ML3Z-19G490-C

Would the LJ8Z19G490A work as the front camera or do I need the 90-C?

Has anybody figured out how to make the zoom function work on the 360 camera install. After installing and setup I have + symbols that are not functioning?

Another success story and part list for you guys.

Huge thanks to @Jesse-Infotainment for the IPMA and support as well as @Tlusk7 for the documentation. Couldn't have done it without their expertise.

FORSCAN calibration didn't work. I ran the FDRS procedure in a dirty faded dark parking lot and it looks perfect now. The coaching screen never came up so I just drove through the spots (not down the row) for about 20 laps.

Biggest lesson learned, buy the 360 package when you buy the truck. Mine was used and the original doofus didn't order it.

Tyler,

First, let me thank you and everyone else that contributed to this thread. Without the collective knowledge, I wouldn't have even tried this. I was able to run the wires from the CHMSL w/camera to the IPMA module and get that all wired. Then I ran into my first and only issue. In you documentation, you stated to run the power wire to the C265 connector to supply power to the camera. I have a 2024 XLT and this did not work for me. I looked at the wiring diagram again and found that on the '24 models, they started pulling power from the BJB in connector C270C (port 37) to the camera. My truck didn't have that wire run, so I took the wire from the C265 connector and changed the pin to a DU2Z-14474-DA terminal to fit the C270C connector. Once I did that, everything is working properly now. I cleared all the codes and everything is clear. Thanks again for the great info in your Google doc and the video. That's how a community works together for everyone!!!

Where is the BJB in your 24?
I miss this camera. When I haul I would fold my tri-food in such a manner that it was under the camera. Reading over this I am pretty damn tempted.
TIA.

Edit: ok looking at the diagram I would assume the Central Junction box. I am currently reading the other posts on this topic. This is definitely a lobor intensive installation as far as running wires goes.

The BJB (also known as the Central Junction box) is located in the right (passenger) side kick panel. You have to remove the little "door" then remove the trim piece that goes from the floor to the area right below the dash. It's a pain to have to do that all the time (what was FORD thinking), but if you ever need to get to the fuse box, that's where it is. You will have to pull up the trim cover on the floor by the seat and you may have to pull the end panel on the dash itself to remove that side panel. I don't remember exactly, but I seem to recall that it was a whole lot easier to do things that way and not destroy anything. Also, the junction box can be unclipped and removed pretty easy. There is a tab in the center of the end of the box closest to the firewall that you can depress and release that end, then slide it forward to release the "feet" from the end closest to the seat. It was pretty easy to get to the wire connector (C270C) after that. There is some TESA tape on the wire harness that covers the cover for the harness that you have to remove to get the cover off the back of the harness, but that's pretty easy with a sharp knife. There are 4 tabs on the cover, two on each side the you can just lift slightly and then the cover can be removed to work in the harness. There is a white cover over the contacts on the plug side of the connecter that needs to be removed as well. I'll try to get some pics and post them up here to help. I'm at work now and it may be a few days before I can tear into it again.

Yes, it was pretty labor intensive to run the wires, but I had some wire loom that I got from a friend that made it easy to put the 22ga wire in and then run the loom down the C pillar, under the door trims and up to the IPMA and the battery feed. I could have cut about 2-3 hours off installation time if I had a better understanding of how hard it would be to fit my body up under the dash to get to the IPMA and the plugs on it. I'm not a spring chicken anymore and my body tells me to quit doing this stuff. Also, if I had known there was that much difference for the power source between the 21-23 and the 24, that would have saved me over an hour of work.

Overall, it was a project worth having in my opinion. I like having the bed camera, even though I have a bed cover and don't haul a bunch of stuff, it helps when backing up to trailers when needed. Like I said, I'll see if I can get some pics and upload them to this.
