I overlooked this small settings issue until yesterday (see a few posts up for Compass update), all settings reverted to the Metric system, HVAC, MPG, Speed, etc. This has never occurred from previous, longer OTAs.

Wonder if the truck is "homesick." ?

The attached TSB, applicable to "some" 2021-2024 F150s and dated 2/24/2025, has the following text on the first page (bold highlight added by me):

NOTE: The APIM software update that addresses the symptom listed in this bulletin may have been sent via a software update delivered OTA to connected vehicles that have automatic updates enabled through the center display screen. Enter the VIN in PTS and check the OTA Dashboard under the Connected Vehicle tab for OTA update history. If an update to the APIM has successfully completed recently and the customer is reporting the symptoms are no longer present, this article may not apply.

Does anyone know which 'recent OTA APIM update' this might be referencing? E.g. APIM update 10.1.0 / SYNC-24.2.1.6 / Software Version 24127_Product Revision 1270 which I received on 1/22/25 shortly before this TSB is dated?

Just curious, thanks in advance.

OTA 10.1.0 for Sync 24127 is the latest APIM software. For me, it greatly improved Android Auto overall, but many people still report issues with phone connectivity......particularly wireless phone projection.

Thanks, I've not noticed any phone connectivity (iPhone) or other problems since that update. I don't use Android Auto with my iPhone of course, but neither do I use CarPlay. I do use wireless / BT for my phone connection exclusively.

I was a bit curious about this in relation to the music playback glitch I reported here, but my recent APIM update timing does not seem to correlate to that, so I suspect the two aren't related.

Yeah I still have CarPlay audio issues on 24127 on my Bronco, and my dad keeps calling me about issues on his F-150. Hopefully they'll fix it sooner rather than later

My APIM has been all sorts of glitchy over the last few days. Wireless carplay not working with a "Wireless App Protection" warning but cannot turn it on in the settings. My screen has a very hard time booting up to the point where I have had to reboot several times and on a few short trips have just had a black blank screen and it won't load up at all.

All of these issues started Sunday morning. I didn't see any notifications of any updates on the truck so I don't know what's going on. From what I've read here on the forum a factory reset might be necessary.

Message me the VIN. I may or may not see anything helpful, but I'll gladly take a look to see if anything obvious sticks out.

VIN sent. Thank you!
Got it. In your case, there are no new codes being reported and there is no recent OTA history indicating an OTA that could have partially installed and messed something up. If you have FORScan, try rebooting the GWM in case it is hung up in a funky state and causing some quirks. If you don't, you can try disconnect the negative battery cable for 20 minutes to force reset all the modules and see if that helps. This may or may not do anything to help the cause, but it won't hurt anything to try.

I do have Forscan so I'll try rebooting the GWM. It was weird how it just started acting up. If that doesn't help I'll try disconnecting the battery for 20+ minutes and see if that helps. I'm hoping my APIM isn't going out as I've seen a handful of folks have to get them replaced here on the forum.

Thanks Javier for checking it out for me! It is much appreciated.

If I am reading this TSB 25-2048 correctly it looks like Ford Dealers are now authorized to replace the battery and spend up to 6.6 hours doing updates if you can demostrate certain issues and your truck is under the following warranty ?
am I reading this correctly ?

Warranty Status: Eligible under provisions of New Vehicle Limited Warranty (NVLW)/Service Part Warranty
(SPW)/Service Part New Vehicle (SPNV)/Extended Service Plan (ESP) coverage. Limits/policies/prior approvals are
not altered by a TSB. NVLW/SPW/SPNV/ESP coverage limits are determined by the identified causal part and
verified using the OASIS part coverage tool

Good luck getting them to actually do it.

If I am reading this TSB 25-2048 correctly it looks like .....
Let's not take this OTA thread into the non-OTA aspects of that TSB - Please pursue those questions in this thread which may already have some responses pertinent to your questions:

TSB 25-2048 - Sync/Carplay/Audio General Stability Performance? | F150gen14 -- 2021+ Ford F-150, Tremor, Raptor Forum (14th Gen) | News, Owners, Community, Discussions

Just a polite request / suggestion for your consideration, a gentle effort to keep this thread on its primary focus. :)

Ford needs to implement a CTRL-ALT-DEL like function in these networked vehicles.
