I don't yet know how my gas mileage has been affected because I had them installed just as winter hit. I track my mileage, so I'll have better insight this spring. I have now driven in the snow quite a bit and they seem to do very well.

Did your mileage typically drop like this in the winter with your old tires?

Yes, but I don't know how much. I started tracking and logging my gas mileage in May when the chart starts. Our other hybrid vehicle that averaged > 42 MPG during the summer is averaging around 37 MPG now. We have had 3 hybrids now and it seems like hybrids might take a slightly larger hit to gas mileage during the winter than ICE vehicles do.

Got mine this afternoon. 275/60/20. The 65s in an SL are still back ordered.

So far so good. I’ll report in after I get some miles on them.

275/65/20; are they good to go with no lift or level?
Yes. Lots of room. I went that route. Fits with or w/o a level/lift.

Day 2 with mine. Heading back to Discount Tire. Have a new vibration above 70 that wasn’t there before. Hoping a rebalance solves it.

I’m really hoping to see a comparison between the SL and 10ply since there is less than 7 pounds difference between the two versions, in the 275/70/18.

I’m definitely leaning SL right now though, my local big-O said they put on two sets last week and seven of them required ZERO weights to balance out on their road force machine. They just lined up the marker on the tire with the valve stem and only one tire out of eight even needed any weight at all.

I got my 275/65/20 SL G3's a couple weeks ago. I am hoping the MPG difference is an anomaly. On the stock Hankooks I was getting 23 mpg. Since I switched to the 1/2' taller G3's in SL, I dropped to 18.5mpg. I was anticipating 1-2 mpg drop, not 4.5 mpg The temperature dropped into the 20's the day I installed the tires and has been there for 2 weeks now. I hope that is the reason for the big drop.

But the main reason I got them was for snow and rain. So far they have done amazing in the snow. I highly recommended for that.

If you saw that big of a drop in your MPG's, I would keep an eye on it and highly suggest that you get them returned if you aren't completely satisfied before your 30 day return window closes.

The Nokian Outpost nAT is supposed to be more fuel efficient according to what I've read.

I'm also looking at the Yokohama G015 due to their mild tread design and some great reviews. They are not exciting to look at........but the older I get, the less I care about how a tire looks compared to how much I think about them while I'm cruising down the interstate at 70mph.

Are these numbers calculated or based off the trucks readings?

I now have about 1500 miles on them. They have gotten quieter which is apparently not uncommon. Hauled a 6K car hauler / VW Tiguan for about 200 miles the other day and stable as can be. Vibration was cured with a rebalance. I'm happy.

So you went slightly larger than stock, yes? Did you adjust the tire size in FORScan so it knows you're traveling faster now? That will affect your MPG calculations. I went with 275/65 and when I'm on the highway, it's a 2mph difference. Truck thinks I'm going slower.
