Like ReactiveD, all features work,
power fold, cameras after swap out, puddle lights, spot lights..... they fold with the button and when the doors are locked.

not sure who the post is for, but I have a 2024 platinum and upgraded to the tow mirrors. You will have to change the cameras from your factory if it is a newer model because of the frequency difference. As for the fold it still works. You will have to enable through the settings on the radio for the power fold. Everything else works. Will also have to enable the amber parking lights for the mirrors. Everything works as normal except my truck didn’t have the the power extend connector, that is the only option for now that doesn’t work.

Do you have the details around the new values needed in ForScan for the amber running lights in the mirrors to work? Or any other values that you needed to update

So apparently the Service Advisor and Parts guy at my small-town Ford dealership are wrong, and/or don't know what they're talking about when they told me I'd be giving up the folding mirror feature by upgrading to Tow Mirrors. I'm very disappointed for them, but elated for me, that they are wrong. (Maybe they should start following this forum!)

Okay, so this is where I seem to be:
I have a 2022 502A Lariat EB that came equipped with standard sized mirrors, with:
- Power fold (manually by button, and automatically when truck is locked)
- 360 cameras
- BLIS
- Heated
- Turn signal indicators
- Running/marker lights
- Puddle lights (automatic)
- Spot lights (manually controlled by switch)

And as per both @jetten , and @ReactiveD , ALL of these features will be retained if I upgrade to Tow Mirrors using the ML3Z-17696-DA kit. The caveats are:
- I will need Jumper wire harness RL3Z14631E to make the power telescoping extend/retract work. EDIT: IF there is not an existing C5020 connector, I will need wire harness RL3Z14631E. And I have to pull the door panel to make that determination.
- Some changes need to be made in FORScan to turn some of these features "On".
- Because mine is a MY22, I will not have to swap the 360 cameras.

Am I correct so far?

What is NOT known to me right now is:
- If RL3Z14631E is a "Plug 'n' Play" (PnP) harness, or if it needs to be spliced in to the factory OEM harness (and hopefully @jetten will have a report/update on this fairly soon) Edit: See post #61
- Specifically, what changes need to be made in FORScan (those values might be posted under a FORScan thread, and if so, maybe it can get re-posted here)

You will have to enable through the settings on the radio for the power fold.
I'm sorry, @ReactiveD , I have no idea what you are talking about. I had no idea that the radio was involved in any way. This is the first I have heard of it. Maybe.... possibly, you were kind of referring to FORScan? ?‍♂ (I don't know - just taking a shot in the dark....)

Just to be clear you have checked for the connector in the door and it's not present? That basically sums up you need

another member on another forum posted and I followed this. With forscan you will change bdycm module with the following 726-40-01-xxxx-xx01-xxxx. The x’s you leave alone and only change the “01” in the **middle**. This is to activate the running lights (parking lights) on the tow mirrors.

Jeeezzz, sometimes I really am an idiot! The light bulb in my brain just now turned on! Your saying that if I have the C5020 connector in my door wire harness, then the RL3Z14631E jumper harness would be Plug 'n' play. If I don't have C5020, then I have to splice into my harness, OR replace the entire door harness with one that has that connector. Am I correct? Edit: See post #61

@HammaMan , you have been a terrific source of information through this journey, but every now and then I fail to connect the dots and have to have it spelled out for me....

I did this swap it’s not as easy as ford says. Hardest part is getting correct parts. Will need a master window switch panel if you don’t have the power fold. A wire harness does come with the extend plug. Finding the harness is a challenge with 3rd party. Mine was BO for like 6 months

Switching Auto-fold On and Off
1. Press Settings on the touchscreen.
2. Press Vehicle Settings.
3. Press Mirrors.
4. Switch Autofold on or off.

Some of the earlier year trucks were already wired to get the mirrors with no harness needed, just plug and play of the switch plate. You can wire in the connector itself. It's illumination, ground, stow, extend. I did.

Ah, so "radio" was the Sync 4 screen. Yeah, I did that with my standard power fold mirrors way back when. Sorry, I took the word "radio" a little too literally...

So, my MY22 may be one of those "earlier" trucks, or may not?

Just pop the door panel off and take a look. Very easy to do.
The C5020 connector (as illustrated in an earlier post in this thread), is where the switch to extend plug into? So if I pop the door panel and find that connector, then I'm good to go? If no connector, then I need to either splice one in, or replace the entire door harness with one that has the C5020 connector? Correct?

Correct. There's only 2 'splices' that need to occur (ground, illumination), the others are additional wires to the door control module for the extend / stow signal. The ground and illumination can also be used to install your own 12v ambient LEDs in the door card if you don't have them.

So, when is the RL3Z14631E needed? To connect the C5020 connector in the door panel harness (IF it's there) to the switches that are supplied in the ML3Z-17696-DA kit?

That's the entire door harness, quite a bit to it.

Oh! Then my notes are quite wrong! That P/N had been previously described as being a "jumper harness". So, I presumed it was to allow the extend/retract switches to plug into the main door harness. Thanks for the clarification.
