Severdog, I find that Quaker State oil works best in the 3.5, but it must be from the 70's to work. Same result in ford 3.5, nissan 3.5, honda 3.5, toyota 3.5, but not the gm 3.5. Mobil 1 40w-140 works best in that.

Ah, license plates. Haunting me to this day… that flesh colored ‘72 Impala coupe that cut me off. While I cussed… The hood passed. One zip code. Then the trunk. Another zip code. Then the rear license plate… PHAQ2. Yes. It DID happen and plate existed. That plate would NEVER get pounded out by convicts in prison today.

Huge trend recently with criminals finding plate numbers for vehicles similar to theirs to avoid police and toll/red light/speed cameras here in Ontario.

I'd rather not make it easier for them to make my life harder.

So they can run your plate #. ??‍♂
As a former LEO who had statutory authority to access to LEIN (Law Enforcement Information Network) in Michigan for lawful purposes and in the exercise of my duties, with which I could enter a vehicle registration (plate) and retrieve personal information, I challenge you to describe how anyone other than those authorized by state or federal law can legally "run" a license plate and get personal information about the registered owner.

Do you block your plate when they drive by you on the roadway?

I think it’s so some crazy on the internet who doesn’t like you doesn’t call the police and say “X hit me and ran” etc. I have enough enemies or “opps” who dislike me on this forum that I wouldn’t feel comfortable posting my plate here so I get it.
They can't do this after driving by your vehicle and obtaining your registration number?

Also could run your plate and find personal info
Explain to me how you would do this.

There are people online who actively dislike others, it’s not as likely that some random the the road is going to mess with you versus the people on here that don’t like me because I smack them around and get them upset :). It’s not my fault I’m always right.

I always figured they could be behind me on the road and write my plate down so why bother?

I do it because I'm a celebrity and don't want people recognizing my truck. Lmao.
In all honesty I'm not sure. I've posted mine both ways.
I thought that was your truck I saw on SWAMP PEOPLE :^) ' saw you're in LA '

Because 99.99% of people are reasonable and upstanding. It's the .01% of people that are just f'n weird. I wrote an article for a national magazine a number of years ago, and somehow this random dude gets my phone number and would call me at odd times to debate me. Was interesting to talk to at first and then got creepy. I block my plate because I don't want any more trolls anonymously reaching out to suggest what oil works best in a 3.5L.
Extra Virgin Olive Oil works the best :^)

Maybe there is a simple explanation that I cannot think of; but had a few extra minutes on the toilet to ponder the question.
It's crowd mentality. People feel safe, accepted in doing what others do.

My grandkid Sophie is always asking questions like this too.
Little Sofie's mom was preparing the ham for the holiday dinner and cut off the end of the ham, then placed it in a pan for baking. Sophie asked her, 'Why did you cut off the end of the ham'? And she replied , 'I really don't know but my mother always did, so I thought you were supposed to.' Later when talking to her mother she asked her why she cut off the end of the ham before baking it, and her mother replied, 'I really don't know, but that's the way my mom always did it.' A few weeks later while visiting her grandmother, the young woman asked, 'Grandma, why is it that you cut off the end of a ham before you bake it?'

Her grandmother replied, 'Well dear, otherwise it would never fit into my baking pan.'

Happy New Year!
