Was having an issue with the tones (basically all beeps boops and other noises the truck produces comes over the speakers) last I heard. Looks good on paper, but if something happens to either the amp side or the a2b side, that's a lot of dough to replace everything again. I have a standalone A2B device that allows separate control over truck's warning beeps so you're not over amplifying those. DSP amp + A2B device still comes out cheaper than mobridge.

I'll have to call your bluff (fluff tbh) here.

Show me WHAT combination of parts is less than $1850 and can do the same as or more than what the Mobridge 8.1.1 AIO can do and fit in the palm of 2 hands.

  • a2b integration (oem tones have always been able to be mapped)
  • 100% Plug n Play. Just have to run INCLUDED power/ground and INCLUDED tweeter harness
  • Included mounting system
  • 4 presets controllable via the oem touchscreen
  • full 8 channel dsp processor with center upmixing if desired
  • 6x 150W Channels @ 4 ohms | 75W RMS
  • 2x 300W Channels @ 4 ohms | 150W RMS
  • 1x 500W Subwoofer Channel @ 4 ohms (or 800W @ 2 Ohms) | 250w RMS & 400w RMS

I've successfully installed them as a professional.

If you have any questions, feel free to post them and I'll answer when I can.

That's a real simple task for anyone that's even partially dabbled in car audio.

Again, you're missing the point, I wasn't as direct as I will be now, AIOs of any capacity are garbage, particularly if all components are required for functionality. None of those parts fits in the palm of a hand, which is moot, nobody measures car audio in its compactness, they measure in its performance. Do you have any actual performance capabilities as-measured? Quite a few claims from the product in delivering some amazing numbers from impossible-to-occur conductor sizes. Load the channels, let's see the results.

Then build something for the less, like you said you could.

Let's see it.

And fwiw, loading an entire multi+sub amp down for power is useless.

Exactly at what point in time (music) will that scenario actually happen?

Also, class SB amps have been capable of large power and small power wire for a hot minute.

Also, stay tuned as dspsi displays even more power output with even smaller feed wire.

Also, build that system...

Just so everyone can see the relative size of this 8.1.1

This was a beta unit way back when. They've changed a little bit.

I did, it's in my sig

Must be the power of magic to output more watts than it's consuming. Dark matter quantum vacuum stuff huh?

I have one... in the box, on the shelf, and yet to install it ?
There’s something to be admired about that sir. Disposable income comfort level…check ?

So your ac d5.1300 is somehow remotely equivalent to the 8.1.1?

You sounded smart until that little bit. Let's point out some things.

That's a 5 channel amp with 7 channels of dsp, so you're down 2 channels comparably.

No center upmixing, just cap that speaker off right?

Arguably one of the worst dsp/amp combos with an unbearable floor noise.

The worst gui and riddled with firmware and software gremlins that ac hasn't fixed in years.

Even their newest update was a joke and bricked more units than helped adding a whopping 2 apfs.

Non defeatable 25hz lpf, that's handy for subs.

And about zero reputable tuners will even entertain tuning on them because of all the issues. Oh, and less than half of the available tuning parameters that the "lowly" mobridge DOES have. Maybe it's that near 8 year old chipset and processor in the ac...

Amp pro fd31 $450
Ac d5.1300 $900, need a remote too +$30
JL 8 channel amps are $800+ and always have been.

Can we stop there?

At least the JL and pac are good ?‍♂

As far as power ratings of amps vs topology and technology, stay tuned as there is some absolutely impressive things coming to the mainstream.
Input voltage manipulation and high rail are just the tip of the iceberg.

People literally pay me to swap their brand new AC gear out of their brand new trucks that other shops talked them into.

Here's a new Raptor R with that AC garbage getting swapped out. ?‍♂✅️

At least I'm not disposable income enough to afford a whole other second system installed  I remember seeing that pic somewhere else and that surprised me, but based off how they ran the wiring, not surprised at all either.

I'll get around to mine eventually, mainly too many ideas for projects and not enough time to complete those projects. Good to know you have some experience with them as that may come in useful. I have one of the preproduction units also and got a good deal on it. One before they put a connector on the tweeter wire runs going to the main harness which was some of my first feedback, and also why I drug my feet getting it installed. I even questioned them about the sub power output and wire gauge they used for it based off what I plan to drive, but they said it should work just fine.
