I’m at the dealer and they are replacing the rubber gaskets around both sections of glass. Apparently the drain tubes are working. If I determine the tweeter speaker in the headliner is not working they’ll replace it.

Joining the leaking pano club. My ‘22 Platinum has the dual panel roof, and B&O unleashed. Water leaking through the drivers headliner speaker and the adjacent headliner was soaked as well as the A pillar covers. I used a 125psi air compressor to clear any blockage of the drain tubes and tested with a cup of water at each front corner. Water drained fine. I wiped down all exposed areas and closed the roof.

The next day it rained and once again the same leak. I opened the roof and made sure to dry down all exposed areas. Closed the roof and applied electrician tape to cover the top of the roof and pano gasket. About 30” on the drivers side along the front and the curved corner. Some water came through the speaker but the small amount suggests it was residual from the previous day. I ran the car for 15 minutes at HI TEMP to dry out the headliner and speaker. Did this 2X. So far the tape is working.

I have an appt with the dealer to investigate and diagnose. My suspicion is that the glass gasket is to blame. On a related note I saw two places further towards the rear where the rubber gasket is starting to peel away from the glass.

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

Good to see that the seals around both glass panels are replaceable. I hope that helps in your case.

I dont know about any rear drains, but, open your sunroof and stand on the seats with your upper body coming through the roof. In the front corners there are holes that leads to a drain. Usually taking a rubber tipped air compressor attachment and blowing them out will resolve your issue. Ive seen others use a wire (12gauge) and push through the drain.
This happened on my wifes RAV4 a few times back in the day. She would always park under an (acorn?) tree and these little suckers would get clogged.

Here is a good informational post also: (Credit @Cody) He opened things up for informational purposes, you dont have to do all he did.

Had the same thing happen to me yesterday... Except water was pouring through the passenger overhead speaker and the hands-free mic on the driver's side. I have an appointment next week, but I suspect the drains were frozen and didn't thaw at the same rate as the roof. Has anyone experienced this in northern climates? The amount of water I had leaking was significant (and very cold, Ford should include a water heater). I now refer to the overhead speakers as rain showers.

So i started having this issue intermittently starting in June. Called the dealer and they say if its a clogged drain then its not covered and none of the resulting damage is covered by my ESP because its a maintenance issue. I checked both front drains and they both seem clear, ran water through them and both evacuated the water with no issue. Can see it draining under the front side panel. I ran a sprinkler over the roof to see if it was coming in through the seal and there's definitely leakage at the corners where the panels meet when closed and seem to be draining into the rail. Is this normal.... Seems like an AWFUL design if this is normal??

That is normal, and yes, that seems like a bad design. Most cars with a pano roof have the glass lift and slide back over the roof. Having a panel close by moving up into place does not seem like a good design. That said, it should be draining into the corners and down the tubes. I believe there are 4, one in each corner front and back.

Any reason then why its leaking through the speaker if both drain lines are clear? And it doesnt leak through the speaker ALL the time.... Its only happened 2x.

As in the video, that's the $64,000 question.

The video shows a good possible explanation for why water comes out of the speaker. I see you're from Houston. I go through the Buccee's car wash in Katy and have looked up at where you see the water leaking between the two glass panels. In the car wash, I have a steady stream coming down, just like yours. I don't have any coming out of my speakers. That said, mine stays in the garage, but I have had it out in heavy rain with no leak.

I suspect that for some reason, water sloshes or over flows from the drain trough into the place where the video highlights the areas that he sealed up. I guess this could happen due to blocked drain lines, but I could also see it happening when driving in the rain and taking a hard curve. Or from the video, maybe accelerating in the rain where the water in the drain trough gets forced backwards and then jumps into the other side and drips out of the holes highlighted in the video.

Sorry, but I'm not much help on the solution. I just wanted to say that the drip between the glass panels is normal, and a bad design.

joining this. I’m getting leaking on the side and into th channel which I’m considering normal but bad design, however the pano seal in the center of the moon roof (which would be above center console) has a cross bar piece above it is a strip of foam. Above that is a seal. That foam is SOAKED. Is that ok? Does that bar have channels that drain to the sides? I cannot say if it’s dropping into the cab yet as I usually keep the headliner cover closed. I’ve left it open tonight to see if it drips into the cab

Gonna add to this thread. Recently had my mic randomly stop working. Today I got in my truck to go to work, and I see water dripping out of it (it has been almost non stop rain here in northern CA). Then I looked and saw that the headliner closer to the door seal is completely saturated and water has made it all the way down the A pillar dripping doit of the grab handle and down through the OBD port onto the floor. Crazy stuff these trucks leave the factory with these problems.

Hoping someone has some answers for us
