Steering wheel phone button

Ok question. In my now traded 22PB the little phone answer/hangup button worked just like that. Answered and hung up call. No change to anything on the IP (cluster) now I have a new 23 lightning. Same phone button on wheel. Using it to answer works same as before. But hang up and now the screen in the IP changes and goes to a phone list. It does hang up the call but what’s irritating is that the IP is changing. Is this happening to anyone else? On a 23 or 24. I’m attaching pics for more context.

Yep. Did a bunch of updates this weekend. Yeah I thought about the heat pumps etc. but 72 months 0% and about 25k off of the truck sealed the deal. And the 23’s have things they dropped in 24. Dual chargers can charge AC up to 80amps I get a free 80amp ford pro bidirectional evse free, 3 yrs of bluecruise included plus some other things I’m forgetting. So the small efficiency bump of the heat pump was far outweighed by all the things I got. ?

@astrand1 Alex, I don't see a separate SCCM for the lightning in the FORScan spreadsheet, and both it and the lightning BCM seem to have no relevant phone options. The only thing I can find which may have an effect is in the APIM: 7D0-02-02 xxxx xxxx x*-- (NTB - number of telephony buttons). I wonder what you have there?

I’ll take a look tomorrow. Yeah seems both trucks are pretty similar “under the hood” for the most part. I’ll se what it says. Just seems weird that the button would act that way. Thanks for the help.

I’ll pull my as built from my old truck and take a look for comparison could be interesting. I’ll report back.

So I just compared as built data from both trucks. The apim and the 2 IPC settings. Everything is the same except for 720-05-01. In the 22 it’s 0 for disabled and in the 23 lightning it’s 8 for enabled. Going to change that real quick and see if any difference is noticed.

Right! Would have been more challenging if the other values had been different but seeing as it was just that one I was pretty hopeful. lol.

I'm glad this came up. My '22 Platinum has the same quirk, and 8 in the 720-05-01 xxx* slot. I'll be changing that to 0. Thanks!! I guess the 8 option is good if you're a serial sales caller.

Yep. It certainly worked for me. Weird that this seems to be a random issue. My 22 did not have this issue and my 23 “did” and you have a 22 with this setting. ?
