CarPlay suddenly stopped working

Does CarPlay require some sort of subscription? All my 3 month trials just expired on my 2024 lariat and subsequently CarPlay is not working either wired or wirelessly. Wondering if this is a coincidence or if I need to be extorted by Ford for this to work

Shouldn't. Try rebooting SYNC. Hold the audio power and track forward buttons until the screen goes black, it will then reboot.

Try removing phone in Sync as well as "forget vehicle" in CarPlay settings AND bluetooth; start from scratch, pair phone etc.

So 2 more things, 1 you may say "of course it is" to me ?
1. So the CarPlay switch is on in iPhone settings>general>carplay>f-150?
2. If the iPhone is current,y connected to a wi-fi network, disconnect but leave wi-fi on. Turn truck off and then back on to accessory mode and wait a minute.

For what it’s worth, my CarPlay decided to stop working today even after restarting the iPhone and truck
Hopefully just a coincidence and not a bad update!

no, there is no subscription for CarPlay. On the bottom of your screen, going into “apps” and trying and connect CarPlay manually. For wireless CarPlay, make sure wireless projection is on and shows on your phone.

Same issue with my truck. As of today no CarPlay connection. Did soft reset of Sync, toggle CarPlay on off/on in the phone settings. This in addition to getting a black screen for a minute or so after starting up the truck and driving. Happens several times per week.

Woke up today and my CarPlay is kind of working. Keeps disconnecting and reconnecting every once in a while but it’s otherwise ok
