XL Windows Down with Key Fob

I’m probably late to the party and this is probably common knowledge but….

Today I was playing with my 24 XL and discovered that if I push the unlock button on my key fob three times and hold it down on the third push for 2-3 seconds, both windows roll down (regular cab).

Today I was playing with my 24 XL and discovered that if I push the unlock button on my key fob three times and hold it down on the third push for 2-3 seconds, both windows roll down (regular cab).

I hit unlock once then hold unlock for at near 5 seconds. Can even stop it by hitting unlock again

I will give that a try. I held it on the first click but not for a full 5 seconds.

Update. Does not work with one click and hold. It does work with two clicks and hold. I have my truck programmed to open only driver side door with first click. Second click to unlock pass door so this kind of makes sense to me.

One unlock click and hold on the 2nd click just worked for me on my Reg cab. Couldn’t make them roll up with the lock button.

Years ago on a 2008 350Z I owned you could roll them up or down using the key in the door lock. Hold it in the unlock position and they both roll down. Hold it in the lock position and they both roll up.

My 21 Expeditions will roll the windows down and up. You have to use Forscan to enable this on previous 14gens I believe, My 21 F150 wouldn't do either without forscan changes. It seem they partially enabled this feature on the 24. Do you have menu options for remote windows? I believe that's what's its called on the Expedition.

I have tried the forscan changes 2 times on my 22 xlt can not get it to work. I can get double honk to stop and Bambi mode to work

No. Only option is unlock driver door or both doors.

So the 24 online owner manual has this section. The 21 manual does not.

GLOBAL OPENING
WHAT IS GLOBAL OPENING
You can use the remote control to open
the windows with the ignition off.
USING GLOBAL OPENING
1. Press and release the unlock button on
the remote control.
2. Press and hold the unlock button on
the remote control.
3. Release the button when the windows
start to open.
Press the lock or the unlock button on the
remote control to stop global opening.
Note: You can use global opening for a
short period of time when you unlock your
vehicle using the remote control.
SWITCHING GLOBAL OPENING ON
AND OFF
1. Press Settings on the touchscreen.
2. Press Vehicle Settings.
3. Press Windows.
4. Switch Remote Open on or off.

When I tried at first to enable Global Windows on my '23, it resulted in the APIM sliders for "Remote Windows" and did not work.
After bringing the truck up to date in FDRS, I tried Global Windows again. This time, the APIM sliders displayed as "Global Windows" and they worked. You do need 5 seconds of hold on the second press. Also, when rolling the windows up, if you press lock and try to lock-hold within 3 seconds, the truck will double-honk at you if lock confirmation is turned on.

Rick, does your truck have software updates pending for one or more of BCM, DDM, PDM, APIM? After making the FORScan changes, a reboot of these modules is in order, to truly test the function.

I will try again I checked my vin afterwards and all was up to date. I was having issues with battery not sure if it was around that time. Too many funky things were going on in that time area
