What are some performance mods for the 2024 5.0?

I agree. I have 0 plans on racing my truck. I drive it normally and sanely and the power is right there. Stop and go traffic to highway cruising I can’t say enough. I swear the 5.0 is happier blown than NA (no scientific evidence supporting that) just how it sounds and acts driving around… refined maybe ?

I did the tuner route and wasn’t very impressed. Save up and check out a Whipple (more like 9K now not 5K) and read their 3/36 warranty. I did my own install. Not to save money but for peace of mind knowing it was done right, without cutting corners, or dropping the unit or something down the intake runners, etc.

Nobody is running 8s or 9s by simply slapping on a '$5000" blower. I'm curious what the real cost is of getting an F150 into the 10's.

They do if you order thru Ford Performance and have ford install or an ASE mechanic install. Or you can buy one from Whipple with a powertrain warranty the Whipple does. Ford is 700HP and the warrantied one from Whipple is 725HP.

So, very few people can afford to put a F150 into the 8-9-10's. I suspect that in addition to the Whipple, you need fuel, cooling, transmission, traction and gears.

A used bone stock Hayabusa for $7500 will run sub-10 sec at 145+ mph in the quarter.

My first superbike was a 75 KZ900. Exhaust and rejetting the carb would put the bike into the high 11's at 130-ish mph on a 2.15" wide rear rim. Looking back, that is scary.

Define very few.
There's a reason Ford kept the 5.0 in the XL RC truck. Heck even Ford came out with a factory supercharged truck.
Getting a Whipple, $15k added to any stock 5.0 will get you 11's in SC form, or 10's in RC truck platform, 4x4.
There are tuned NA trucks running low 11's in a Super Crew.
The stock 10 speed will hold up to a Whipple, so over 700hp, and have AC.

2) Yes. Mods are expensive. Some of us don’t care. If I was pinching pennies I’d be in a used Toyota Corolla.

Right you are. That's why the WM greeters are typically in their 60's and 70's. Also, in the south it is pretty common to see a blue trap covering a roof and a new car parked next to the trailer. Land of the free...

RCSB 5.0 4x4 is not that heavy. And the engine is about as good as it gets as a base platform to make power with. About as pure a hot rod as anything else out there. And with V8s going away slowly, in my opinion the time is now. Electric cars maybe faster but there is zero emotion or driver engagement. Not to mention 0 opportunity to wrench on it, and talk about weight...

I have a 2020 BMW M2 Comp, an 2005 Evo 8 MR, and a 1995 Evo 3. I am replacing my 2015 Chevy Silverado Double cab with a 2024 RCSB 5.0 4x4 if it ever gets built and delivered. My wife has a 2020 chevy traverse to handle hauling groceries and the kiddos/dogs around.

I dont want to be rude, but if you make 38k / year you should be doing everything you can to either move or find better employment. Get an education or get into a lucrative trade. There is work, good work, for those who want it. And I dont take vacations, wrenching on cars and spending time around the house and in the garage with my kids is good enough for me.

drove it home yesterday. As expected. Normal sweet throttle response off idle to WOT in "Normal" mode. Shift tables in the trans tune are sweet! Reminds me of my 9 speed AMG trans in my C63-just clicks through the gears nicely spaced shift points.
So much fun to drive-Buy a fleet truck and boost it-cheap investment and big fun return!
