Through Granger? IME there's none better to deal with, both the pricing and the customer-friendly people / business modelWell, truck is officially ordered, the waiting begins, funny, only waited 2 weeks for my cans...
Thank you for your support! We do our best to provide the best prices (as best as we can) as well as making the process of taking delivery easy. I know collecting state taxes can be a little frustrating, but we had to make this mandatory due to customers not registering where they told finance they would. So we did get fined a big chunk of money. But we try to make it easy either way!!A XL supercab is a fairly simple build.. Your wait time will be about the same no matter what dealership you order from. If you have a trusted dealership locally (maybe family connection?) you might be ok but since you asked for recommendations it's a real crapshoot. Granger built a business plan to sell a incredibly large amount of trucks. Far far more than they could ever sell in a small town in Iowa. They made the process fast easy and fair. Lots of dealerships are now owned by 'Groups' that, even on a order, put a "pack" on each vehicle they sell... You pay that. It's easy to get a "Out the Door" price from Granger..Good luck getting THAT number in Dallas. And I'm not just talking about stupid things like window tint, fabric 'protection' and obvious ripoffs like that. Administrative fees that are built-in can easily add a thousand bucks or more. The only real downside is you have to go to your tag office about 2 weeks later and pay the taxes Granger collected then sent to you.. That IS a hassle but when you understand the steps and process it's no big deal.. just different.
Thank you for your support! Now we wait for Ford to pick it up!Well, truck is officially ordered, the waiting begins, funny, only waited 2 weeks for my cans...
Unfortunately, that is a game that goes in circles. Ultimately, it is up to Ford to pick what orders to build. They decide by the parts they have and being able to complete the build.Ford says call the dealer. Dealer says call Ford. As they were blaming the dealer, I asked Ford marketing “escalation” team member if they would hold so I could conference in the dealer and they said they would hang up. They can’t talk to the dealer…especially with me on the line.
Can I help answer an questions? Have you gotten a quote?yes, purchasing
I lived in the DFW area for 20 years and now reside in the Pacnw, but a few months back was back in town to help my son buy a ford ranger. went to grapevine ford and was met with classic 3 amigos standing outside in sunglasses waiting on the next victim. Spent less than 5 min walked out when they said " our website prices can be misleading" say what? went to Carmax and bought a used ranger with no hassle... sorry for the preamble, but I also just ordered a 24 Tremor from Granger and could not be happier with the experience. Talk to Chip who will walk you through the ordering process which takes about 10 min. 4% under invoice which saved me thousands vs my local dealer. looking forward to a 3 day roadtrip once my truck arrives which I hope is around late sept. good luckHey Folks,
Just joined, great site for information. I am looking at ordering an XL supercab, 5.0 4wd 6+ box antimatter blue. I'm in the DFW area.
Questions:
Can you still order a 2024 in July?
Any recommendations for DFW dealers?
Any advantage going through fleet sales at a dealership?
Thanks!
Warmest Regards,
Lurch
In all honesty, you are all "Ford" to me, and you (meaning Ford dealer/factory) should not pit one against the other with the customer. The experience should not be this hard and infuriating. I shorted the stock because the level of incompetence and lack of care at all levels can not be exclusive to just me. Given that they steadfastly refuse to give me any technical explanation on the 4 month quality hold, I have to assume I am getting a lemon with a problem they can not easily solve...and that I will be stuck with, like all of the billions in recalls current Ford owners are suffering through.Unfortunately, that is a game that goes in circles. Ford does direct customers to contact their dealer, but all we are able to do is keep you posted on constraints and hoping Ford picks up your truck!
I apologize if it seemed like I was pointing fingers at Ford. Yes, we are a Ford dealer, but the dealership does not have any say on what vehicles get picked up by Ford or who gets built. I cannot tell you how many times I have been in contact with Ford trying to help our customers as well as provide answers. I do all I can on my end, but even being the owner does not give me the ability to tell Ford what order to go in, how quickly to get the vehicles produced or give me the ability to see what Ford Corp can see with each vehicle as well as reasons why they are on hold or not being picked up. I truly wish I could! Ford Corp. only allows us to do so much on our end.In all honesty, you are all "Ford" to me, and you (meaning Ford dealer/factory) should not pit one against the other with the customer.
